Perfect for two people but with room for one more, The Hayloft is a newly renovated, two bedroom apartment on the upper level of a historic, former agricultural building. The property benefits from free, private, garage parking in the centre of town. Original beams combine with stylish decor to create a space with real character. It enjoys an enclosed, shared cottage garden. Hayloft is the perfect base from which to explore the outstanding Yorkshire countryside or walk the Three Peaks.

Le logement
The Hayloft forms part of a detached converted barn, uniquely located, for a former agricultural/stable building, in the centre of Settle. Located at first floor level this two bedroom apartment has been recently renovated. Access is directly up a short flight of stone steps into the open plan kitchen living room.

LIVING AREA:
A large multi-paned sliding sash window which overlooks the courtyard garden at the rear of the property allows light to flood in. With central heating plus a woodburner-style electric fire, modern sofa, coffee table, large rug and HD smart TV, you have all you need for a cosy night in. The large, original, exposed beams of the barn run straight through this space and the solid oak flooring throughout and modern decor combine to add real character.

KITCHEN AREA:
A new, fully-fitted kitchen has all the amenities you will need for a short stay. Charcoal painted units with hand-cast rough iron handles are finished with solid oak worktops and upstand. Shelves replace wall cupboards to enhance the open feel of the apartment, providing storage for quality pots, pans, and crockery etc. Another multi-paned window in the kitchen gives a view over the cobbled courtyard. The kitchen has a fan oven, double ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, and kettle.

DOUBLE BEDROOM:
Located at the rear of the property, another large window gives this room a light and airy feel. The blackout roller blind and plush carpet ensure cosiness at night-time. There is a double bed with a comfy mattress and quality linen. An open style wardrobe gives you plenty of space for hanging clothes, and a large shelf and two beside tables with dimmable lamps complete the room.

SINGLE BEDROOM:
This smaller room is located at the front of the property and enjoys lots of light in the morning. A day bed topped with a quality, single-sized mattress and pillows provides a relaxing place to sit or sleep comfortably. This room also has a cupboard in it which houses the modern-combi boiler and a few other household essentials such as the ironing board and iron.

SHOWER ROOM:
Comprising modern tiled shower cubicle with electric shower, basin with storage, radiator, toilet and extractor fan.

OUTSIDE:
The property has direct access to a spacious, L-shaped, enclosed garden area, shared with the adjoining apartment. Mainly gravelled and paved in Yorkshire stone flags, this space catches the afternoon sunshine.

GARAGE PARKING AND BIKE STORAGE:
The apartment sits on top of a large garage which is accessed from the front of the property through the double barn doors. Please note that the space is only really suitable for small to medium sized cars. Alternative parking is available within a minutes walk.

The Hayloft lies very close to the centre of Settle, surrounded by an eclectic mix of houses and cottages. It is set back from the road with a cobbled courtyard at the front. It enjoys distant views across the countryside and over some historic Settle buildings at the rear. The garden attracts many birds and their birdsong is wonderfully relaxing on a sunny day. The property is well located allowing you to explore the Yorkshire Dales limestone countryside directly from the front door. It is also within minutes walk to the town centre and its many pubs, shops, restaurants and cafés. There is a market in the town every Tuesday. Booths supermarket is a 5 minute walk away. The property is perfect for people looking for a base from which to explore the countryside whilst enjoying the amenities that the town has to offer.
