Le logement
Minimalist comfort, convenient location, easy on the budget. This 80 square foot off-grid modern minimalist bunkie features everything you need for a comfortable and dry night's stay: a solar lighting system that lets you charge your portable devices, screens to keep the bugs out, and our signature foam mattresses inside. Outside, you'll find muskoka chairs, a picnic table and fire pit. Forage wood for your campfire on-site at no extra charge. There is also a common area with a shared propane barbecue available for your use, which comes in handy when fire bans are in place.

Standard furniture arrangement: Twin over twin bunk bed, with a third twin mattress on the floor.

Regular housekeeping maintains the tent in tip-top shape, but we ask that guests remember the tiny footprint rule: please leave the space the way you found it as a courtesy to those who come after you.

This is a renewable energy, carbon neutral accommodation situated on 90 acres of forested Canadian shield. The blowers for these tents are also powered by renewable solar energy. Our property borders Algonquin Park, so you can't stay any closer to the park without actually staying inside the park. Walk our trails or use the facility as a base camp when heading into or out of the park. The hike to Granny's cliff is worth the view from the top. Our low light pollution location gives you spectacular star-gazing opportunities, from many locations on the property, and we regularly see large and small animal tracks. The site is completely off-grid, which means there is limited access to electricity. We have a brand new fully accessible comfort station that includes showers, toilets and potable water.

WE WANT TO EARN YOUR 5-STAR RATING on Airbnb! If there is anything you need to make your stay more enjoyable, please let us know. Message us or give us a call.

When you support Four Corners, you're supporting a social enterprise dedicated to advancing prosperity in rural Canada. We source as much of our material and labour as we can locally, including our solar lighting system, the lumber for our tent frames, our tents, and even the custom designed self-fastening bed frames. For more information about the Four Corners Algonquin social enterprise agenda, see FourCornersAlgonquin (dot) ca.

Accès des voyageurs
Your campsite is your private space for the duration of your stay. You are welcome to walk around the property on our trails and to use the common areas. We also have several day-permits into Algonquin Park available to lend out on a first come, first served basis. These must be returned before departure or full cost of permit will be charged ($150).

Four Corners is a camping, glamping and tiny house tourist accommodation business located on 90 acres of land in Whitney, Ontario, Canada directly adjacent to Algonquin Provincial Park. Located a very short drive from the east gate along the Highway 60 corridor, we are a minimalist, net-zero energy facility, with our modest electricity requirements generated on-site through solar energy. We are building toward a 'maker' model of social innovation that will help everyday people engage with everyday culture in entertaining, educational, meaningful and enduring ways. Our goal is to fund research into the many ways cultural heritage can build social and economic resilience in rural communities. When we travel personally or for business, we tend to stay in Canada. We always travel light, keeping a small footprint, and we're teaching our kids the same philosophy. We've crossed the country by train, plane and automobile for our work meeting new people and looking for great ideas and novel ways to celebrate everyday life. As settlers, we're grateful for the opportunity to meet in this place and we thank all generations of people who have taken care of and been stewards of this land for thousands of years before today. We acknowledge that we are operating on unceded* Algonquin, Anishinaabeg territory. The Anishinaabeg nation includes all the Algonkian/Ojibwa Nations: Ojibway, Odawa, Algonquin, Potawatomi, Nipissing, Mississaugas, Saulteau. We recognize and deeply appreciate their historic connection to this place. We also recognize the contributions the Métis, Inuit, and other Indigenous peoples have made in shaping and strengthening this community in particular, and our province and country as a whole. We are committed personally and as a business to making Truth and Reconciliation real. ______________________ *"Unceded" territory means that the original peoples, The Algonquins, never relinquished ownership of the land to the Crown. It was subsequently taken from them and given to settlers. This includes the land on which we operate, for which a crown patent was issued in 1907 under the reign of King Edward VII, and subsequently given to a veteran and his family as a land grant. Land to the West and North of us is designated to be returned to the Algonquins in the largest modern day treaty negotiation of its kind in Canada. We look forward to becoming neighbours with the Algonquin nation when this land claim is finalized.
