The house, an old farm house has been renovated, and has been modernized with three new shower rooms and 2 new kitchens. There are amazing views from the rear terraces which will be open for guests to use during the evenings. The location is only a 10 minute drive to Alcala la Real with its long history and ancient Mota which has magnificent views and tours.
This is a good center for visiting Granada, Jaen and Priego de Córdoba, as well as a day trip to Córdoba.

Le logement
I am happy to share my home with guests, and if they wish to cook an evening meal there is a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space to eat inside or outside during the evening. I have three cats who come and go as they please; so this place would not suit somebody allergic to cat fur. They will also slip in bedrooms if doors are left open.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests can use the kitchen downstairs which adjoins the guest lounge and patios around the property. When the pool is installed guests will be able to use this providing the follow the safety rules.

Autres points à prendre en note
At the far end of the property a pool is being installed but delivery has been delayed due the delivery restrictions.

Alcala la Real, Andalousie, Espagne

The house is in a very small village of about 50 house. Most of the residents are or were Olive farmers so it is very quiet. Alcala la Real is about a 10 minute drive away, but if you like to walk or take photo’s the views are amazing. The neighbors are all Spanish and speak little or no English , but are very friendly and helpful.
Alcala la Real has a long history going back to the days of the Nasir family in Granada with a wonderful Mota and some beautiful churches and medieval streets around the base of the Mota. Holy Week processions and celebrations have an important part in the town cultural heritage.

I am a retired Teacher/Education Consultant for a London Education Authority. I was a PE teacher, and taught young people with Special Needs during the second part of my teaching career. I then moved to the Local Authority and was responsible for supporting vulnerable young people access Education. I have organised and taken part in many camping trips and activities during my 24years teaching career. Many in England and Europe with large and small groups of pupils. Sailing on the Thames Barges, and the Tall Ship trip across the North Sea as crew are two of the more memorable trips. I have always enjoyed travelling and often travel by myself on various road trips around the USA. I got the travelling bug when I visited family based around the world as a teenager. I still visit friends I first made whilst working in the American Summer camps in 1977 and they are my American family in Long Island New York . I love to get in a car and travel around the countries I visit, or in Australia hop on a plane to get around the country first. I love to spend time finding out about the history of an area I visit and what it is like to live there rather than spend my time in comercial holiday resorts. I have visited a number of National Parks in the States and Australia, and when possible print up photos I have taken which are placed in the house, reminding me of the beautiful places I have been lucky enough to visit. I am hoping to visit China and the Terracotta Army, as well as travel across Canada on the train from coast to coast as soon as I can save enough money. Now I have time I am able to read, and I enjoy completing craft projects rather than getting half way before work takes me away from them. I also enjoy DIY projects and have restored houses in the past, but now just small projects are enough to keep me busy. I have 3 cats, one originally as a kitten, but then two who decided my home was their home, so there is now the four of us to enjoy the garden and house. I am waiting to have the pool area complete on the next few weeks, and then the serious work on the garden begins.
