Rocketts Castle is not an ordinary place but it is a special place. Situated on the banks of the river Suir, Ireland's second largest river marking the divide between Munster and Leinster and the counties Waterford and Kilkenny. The land is designated by the Irish state as being a natural heritage area and a special area of conservation. The castle was built in the year 1212.
A beech hedge with a timber post and rail fence lines either side of a bell-mouthed, cast-iron electric-gated entrance.
