If you're looking for a place to relax in spacious rooms, sleep as late as you'd like on comfortable beds, eat sumptuous breakfasts prepared by a caterer, and set out to a day of adventure, we should fit the bill! We're about 30 minutes from Lafayette (Purdue University!), Kokomo, and Logansport.
It's extremely quiet here, and we can almost guarantee a good night's sleep!
Wifi is available, and guests will share one full bath.
We're ready to welcome them and show them the rooms. We will accommodate a homemade breakfast between 8 and 10 am the morning following the selected stay. Check out is by noon.
We and our neighbors look out for each other. We're all at or near retirement, so late partying would not be welcome.
Sorry, there is no public transportation within 30 miles.
The surrounding area is very rural, but some of the vistas are unique, including beautiful fall colors, a covered bridge about three miles away, and clean accommodations.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests are welcome to use the backyard, deck, balcony off one bedroom, and a guest half bath in the laundry area. Commonly breakfast is served in the dining room off the kitchen unless we need more room, and then we use the large living room. You're welcome to use the laundry area, but if you use our detergent, etc. there's a $2 charge per load.

Since we've lived here for over 40 years, we're probably familiar with the surroundings and can recommend suggestions for places to visit depending on guests' interests. A beautiful covered bridge and the Wabash and Erie Canal is nearby.
We'd like guests to arrive between 4 - 6, but sometimes that's impossible, so we'd like to know approximate arrival time so we can be sure to greet you. Also, if there are food allergies or nutrition requirements, please notify us one week before you arrive. Our town is very small, so unusual foods are not readily available. We just added a small refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker in the Gathering Room. If you'd rather be on your way instead than enjoying a full breakfast, you can still have coffee and take a cold bottle of water for your journey.
There is no smoking allowed. Pets would have to be caged and stay overnight in our garage. This is our home, and as such, we ask our guests to treat it with the respect such a dwelling deserves at over 100 years in existence!
My wife and I are retired teachers, and we thoroughly enjoy meeting new people through Airbnb. We are very involved in our church, our family of three children and TEN beautiful, intelligent grandchildren, but none live nearby, so we host Airbnbers! Our interests include reading, music, food, travel, and quilting.
