Whether it’s a spectacular sunset or a breathtaking pacific storm, the views from our home are always dramatic! Located only 4 blocks from the beach in quiet, picturesque Oceanside: a small village is nestled into a hillside directly North of Netarts Bay. This sleepy little beach town is truly a unique way to experience the beautiful Oregon Coast. Far from the hubbub and usual touristy vacation experiences, there are just a couple of restaurants and 1 cafe and miles of uncrowded sand to explore.
Please refer to house manual and instructions which will be provided for you prior to your stay and a copy of which is at the house for guidelines on beach access, checkout procedures, etc.
NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON THE PREMISES
If you plan to be traveling with a pet, please indicate this at the time of your booking so we can send you a special offer to take payment for the pet fee which is 50 per pet. No more than 2 pets at anytime please - it's not a huge house, so none of you will be comfortable!
Well behaved pets are very welcome, but please try to keep pets (especially damp ones!) off furniture or bedding. We understand that if your pets are accustomed to this at home it's hard to keep them off, we have some large gray sheets that you can use to cover the sofas and beds to help with this. Please note that we'll ask you to wash and put them away before you leave. Please be extra careful of washing your dogs off outside and thoroughly drying them prior to letting them back in house (plenty of beach towels can be found in the linen closet)
LAUNDRY (if you need to check out early, skip to the note at the end:))
This is always a tough one for us! Oceanside is a very small town without a very large rental pool, so there really isn't a way for the cleaning crew to start loads of laundry and swing back through to finish it up. They are usually just in town for the 3-4 hours of cleaning they are contracted for, which only allows them time to do about 2 full loads of laundry, so here is how we have to deal with it: We ask that you wash and dry (no need to fold, just leave them in laundry bag or basket on the dining table) all the colored items (towels, napkins, dog sheets and blankets, etc.). It is ok to leave one load of laundry in the dryer (just be sure to set it to medium high for a full 60 minutes). We use the quick wash cycle, which is about 25 minutes and then a 60 minute dry, so about an hour and a half per load. No need to do anything with the bedding, although it would be greatly appreciated if you could shoot any stains with some stain spray to help that process along...the cleaners will have time to do those 2-3 loads of laundry while they are cleaning the rest of the house.
If you know you need to leave early or don't want to be bothered with the extra work before you go and are willing to either pay a little extra ($40) or get them/return them yourself, I am happy to coordinate sending you from Portland with a full set of clean sheets and towels (you can leave the sheets for the cleaners and use the towels, leaving the clean ones at the house for the next guests) and have your return the used stuff back to me. I'll wash it and send it back with the next crew or take them back on our next trip. For the extra bucks i'll send someone to pick up and deliver them to you before and after your trip. We live in the Hawthorne neighborhood of SE Portland, so we are fairly central.

I am an east coast transplant to the Pacific Northwest. When I travel I like simplicity and comfort so the space we share with our guests is a reflection of that.
