Thanks for the nice public review. To respond to your private feedback: I wish you would have mentioned that the temp was too low for you in the room (as there was a space heater in the closet in your room you could have used!), and there also were tissues in your room, on the white shelf, which you mention you would have liked to have had. I wish you would have asked and I could have pointed you to them! There is a toaster oven (instead of microwave) in the kitchen for re-heating food, which I even helped Barb with, and I clearly state in my description that there is no TV, which I also mentioned when we talked prior to your arrival. I'm sorry that the room ambience was not satisfactory to you, it might be that the house's style just wasn't a good fit for you? We haven't had problems with the WiFi, unless there are weather interferences, so I'm sorry it was too weak for you that night. And again, I wish you would have mentioned this at the time of, and I would have gladly shared my Netflix subscription with you. Instead of providing a Keurig coffee maker in the bedroom or kitchen as you suggested, I provide a french press plus complimentary locally roasted coffee as courtesy to my guests, even though I am not a coffee drinker myself. This is generally very much appreciated by my guests, I am sorry you were disappointed.
I admit I am disappointed by your low overall experience ratings review (very surprising to me after what seemed like a great visit and the lovely conversations we shared), after I responded promptly to both your requests on a late Saturday afternoon, left the memorial event I told you I was attending early, to meet and host you on very short (few hours) notice, and went out of my way to host and welcome you. I really wish you would have talked with me directly about your concerns, instead of leaving a low ratings-review, which will make it less likely for me to be willing to accept these kind of last-minute overnight reservation requests in the future anymore. I am also sorry your private feedback on value was not positive, and given the low fee I charge and energy and amount of time I invest in preparing for each visitor wonder if a cheap motel might have not been a better fit for this overnight stay.
I enjoyed meeting you both and wish you all my best, Britta
