You’ll feel yourself as a time traveler in the house that Russian Empress Catherine the Great once granted to her maid of honor and personal friend countess Maria Perekusihina. Or it may seem as if you spend the night in the Hermitage, but for the presence of Wi-Fi, washing and dishwashing machines and other features of the XXI century…
It is possible to walk to the Hermitage along the English Enbankment (it takes about 20 minutes) and to return back along the paths of Alexandrovsky Garden and then along the Konnogvardejsky boulevard.
Most of the famous places of interest are situated nearby - the Bronze Horseman, Saint Isaac’s cathedral, quays of Moyka river and Griboedov's canal, well known from the books by Alexander Pushkin and Fyodor Dostoevsky. You may walk to Yusupov palace, a place where notorious Grigory Rasputin was assassinated in 1916. The palace is also famous with its rich and eccentric art nouveau interiors. Not to speak of drawing of Blagoveshchensky bridge, that you can watch from the Neva Embankment at a distance of 100 m from your future apartment.
I rent out a room in a 4-room apartment, the sitting room will be shared with the owner. The apartment situates in a very quiet street. The underground railway station is at a distance of 20 minutes afoot. Besides, you may use surface transport, the stops are nearby. Welcome!
