Échanges avec les voyageurs

The owners occupy the space when not renting the entire house while they are out of town. Every effort is made to clear space in all areas for guests but some items belonging to the owners will be found. Please feel free to use spices in the kitchen, read a book from the bookshelves or play a game from the game cupboards.

Autres remarques

The house is home to 2 cats and 2 dogs and every effort has been made to clean and mitigate their impact - there still remains an odor in the basement from the litter box and the door to the basement should be kept closed. I think time and our efforts to use air fresheners in the space has helped lessen it and will continue to do so but those with allergies or sensitivities should be aware. We ask that the house be respected and maintained as it was left. We cherish our home and ask that others do so as well.

The house was built in 1911 and the sewer is about the same age, so please do not flush baby wipes, feminine products, etc... down the toilet.

We are a strict No Smoking household.

Woodstock is a fairly sleepy, family friendly neighborhood. We hope you enjoy the space and are respectful of the proximity of our neighbors and noise at night and early mornings - we really appreciate it. This is a family friendly house and not ideal for parties or loud music.

Please use HE laundry detergent and leave the front door of front loader washer open after washes so that it doesn't mildew.

The garbage disposal has been disabled as our preference is to use the city composting service.

Please remove garbage and dispose of in the outdoor garbage bin upon leaving.

Wonderful place, perfectly suited our trip. Mary was great at answering questions and giving recommendations leading up to the visit. She always answered back promptly (before and during our stay) and gave quality recommendations. The coffee she provided was well-curated and a wonderful morning remedy for the great local micro-brews. The house was very warm and charming. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and the communal spaces were great. When we arrived the place was clean and the linens were fresh and plentiful. Kitchen was spacious with great appliances. Wonderful bath tub in the downstairs bathroom and clever energy-saving light fixtures in the bathroom upstairs. The basement provided a ton of great storage space and the laundry facility was a huge bonus. Lovely, quiet neighbourhood with good places within walking distance. The yard and hammock added to the great vibe of the whole place. Quite reasonably priced for it's capacity. Every member of our trip loved the place. If I came to Portland again I would happily stay here again.

The pictures and description do not do this place justice. We walked in the front door and looked around, speechless. It's beautiful, it's a classic Portland home, and it's absolutely enormous. If you want to know what it's like to live in Portland in luxurious, pleasant surroundings in a quiet neighborhood, look no further. The house had everything we needed and was beautifully furnished. Communication with Mary was straightforward and she was very helpful and thoughtful. A fantastic new listing in our favorite city!

Fabulous house with fenced yard, plenty of places to curl up and read, socialize or just hang out. Great neighborhood and convenient to Reed College. We'll be back.

Mary & Jason's home is a cozy 1911 house with very comfortable beds and a superb kitchen! It was clean and welcoming and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Mary was very responsive and kind. The house was charming but the family still lives in it. The cabinets and refrigerator were stocked so we didn't have much space to put our groceries. Some kids came ringing the bell and banging on the door looking for their friend while we were trying to put our 2 kids down for a nap. It seemed like the cats inhabited the house more recently than claimed. We all had major issues. The stay was fine minus the cats but with the bad location, I wouldn't stay here again.

It's a great quiet area that was perfect for our two families with kids, and although there's a lot within a mile or so, we were definitely dependent on our car during the trip. The house is spacious with a great yard(front, side, back). Mary reminded us that they were a pet friendly location and some of our party had some mild allergies. Nothing a little claritin didn't handle, but it's something to be aware of.
