Le logement

Our quirky, three story Georgian house is nestled in a courtyard, down a quiet, traffic free lane. It's a 5 minute walk from town and the countryside is even closer! It has all mod cons including a gas range cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee machine, wifi, internet radio, washing machine and dryer. We have a garage up the lane and there's a shed for secure bike parking. There is also a secluded walled garden ideal for bbqs and picnics.

My young family of four enjoyed our time both in this home and in Frome. There are plenty of toys and books which my 2 year old loved. Andrew and his family were very open to sharing the necessities to make ourselves feel comfortable. The house itself is as it was described as being quirky. The three level house has very steep stairs and baby gates which made us feel more comfortable in an unfamiliar environment with a toddler. We did the majority of our living on the second floor lounge/bathroom as it was easier to avoid the many stairs with an infant and toddler. The centre of Frome is very accessible from the home as are the motor ways. We did many day trips in al directions and had a great time. I would have liked to have known that it was garbage pickup day on our last day so that we could have put the bins out before we left.

we were given clear instructions to the house and our host was on hand quickly to resolve a tech issue with the Internet.

Andrews place was exactly as described, a quirky Georgian house. Very cute with loads of interesting features. We had a 2 year old with us and there plenty of toys and books which he loved. Hopefully they were put back in the right places! We all enjoyed out stay and can definitely recommend it to other potential guests.

Andrew answered all my questions promptly although we had some problems connecting through airbnb but not his fault. The house was in a very nice quiet area with lovely views from the living room on the 1st floor and bedroom on the 2nd floor. Our children loved reading the books, many of which we're are familiar but a huge collection that kept our eldest 5 yr old busy for ages. It was really nice to not have a tv and just enjoy the silence. The kitchen had everything we needed. We couldn't work out recycling the food waste and not sure if possible so maybe you could clarify that. The kitchen is pretty eclectic but also lovely. The bathroom is huge and very nice. The bedrooms were lovely also. We really enjoyed staying here and would go back. A couple of thing to be aware of - there are 3 stories and very steep stairs (be careful with very young and very old). You need to park your car a few minutes away and carry your stuff. Otherwise really nice. Thanks Andrew for sharing your lovely house. Nice to see stay in a fellow lefties house and love your literature. Cheers B

We had a great couple of days at Andrew's house and thoroughly enjoyed the peace, quiet and excellent record collection. Our kids loved reading the tons of books, playing in the den house and splashing about in the tub. Lovely spot, ideal for walks and exploring nearby Wells and Glastonbury.
