An old fashioned farm holiday? Lidcutt is in the middle of no-where but close to all the places you might want to visit. The stable is a spacious converted barn which sleeps 6 in 2 double and 2 single rooms. Value for money - clean & comfortable.
This is a good old fashioned holiday. Lidcutt is a working farm and our family have been farming in this area since before records began in c1200 AD. The barn sleeps 6 comfortably in 4 rooms - two double and two single rooms. There is one bathroom with shower, and an additional toilet downstairs. We love meeting visitors and talking about our area while listening to news from the ouside world!

The beds are comfortable with new mattresses, hypo allergenic pillows, fresh white bedding, large white bath sheet towels and hot water supplied by our solar system. We will hope to provide you with plenty of free range eggs in season. Please note that the three sofas in the sitting room are duck feather. There is a log fire and seasoned logs are provided. The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials and cooking is on a 1940's Aga which has been converted to electricity and runs on solar power. Mary Berry's Aga book is available to help - and a microwave for emergencies! You will be welcome to take farm walks, and there is a large garden to enjoy. Outside the Stable there is an area suitable for BBQ's, and a conservatory in case it rains. If you have young children we have a high chair and travel cot available, please ask when you book. There is space for drying clothes and wet towels (when you come back from the beach) and plenty of parking right outside the house. The kitchen has supplies of tea and coffee & emergency milk to get you started, and there are plenty of loo rolls.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask and we will try to accommodate your needs. While we love dogs, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets.

We live in the farmhouse which is next door to the Stable, so we will be around 24 hours a day if you need us, and able to give you suggestions to make your holiday fun! Once you have booked your stay, you will have our mobile phone numbers and can contact us via text or phone at any time if you have a problem.
Lidcutt Farm is a working arable farm with up to forty horses at livery. There are rides around many of the fields where you can also walk. This is a haven of wildlife where you may be lucky enough to see deer, foxes, stoat, rabbits and maybe even otter as well as indiginous trees and plants.
Being in the centre of Cornwall means that both coasts are accessable. Just look at the weather forecast and choose the coast with the best weather for the day. Portwenn on the North Coast, Polmear and Fowey on the South Coast and Frenchman's Creek to the West or go to the moors and up to Jamaica Inn.
Unfortunately we cannot allow pets as Lidcutt is a working farm with a number of animals. We allow smoking anywhere outdoors. And we hope that our guests will have a lovely time enjoying our peaceful environment.
