This clean, comfortable private room with its own bathroom is in a beautifully restored Victorian on a quiet tree-lined street in Clontarf. Two single beds (can be arranged side-by-side). Sleeps two comfortably. Centrally located with easy access to buses and DART. Continental breakfast included!

Le logement

A private en suite double in a restored spacious 1890s red-brick private home is located in one of Dublin's most sought after addresses.

The room comes with a US Queen (UK King) size bed (memory foam topped mattress), free wifi, coffee/tea making facilities, private bathroom, its own period fireplace, and lots of closet and drawer space.

A great base from which to explore Dublin, our historical road is only 10 minutes by bus from City Centre. We are serviced frequently by bus routes (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN); and the Killester DART Station is a 10 minute walk to the door.

Free off-street parking and free wifi.

Access to the living room, formal dining room, and back garden (with trampoline!)

You are welcome to join us in the kitchen, too!

We are always available to help make our guests' stay in Dublin more enjoyable, but happy to let them hang out and do their own thing, too.

Clontarf is home to St. Anne's Park and Bull Island Nature Reserve. There are two excellent links golf courses locally. Author Roddy Doyle is our neighbour. Bram Stoker and Erwin Schrodinger (with cat?) were both one time Clontarf residents too. The high school where U2 first met and formed their band is just across the street.

Our road is bookended by the traditional Harry Byrnes Pub on one end, and the Yacht Pub (great hot lunches!) on the other. Gilbert and Wrights, a block away, has a nice casual evening menu and great cocktails. The house is an easy walk to SuperValue market and Spar.

Serviced by (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).

The Killester DART Station is a 10 minute walk to the door.

We are 20 minutes by car from Dublin Airport, and 8 minutes by car from the Dublin Port (ferries).

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST: help yourself to pastries, toast, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, Nespresso/tea.

Perfect welcome by Alan and Yvonne. The room was clean, and very quiet. Generoux breakfast in the morning. The house is near the city-center (35 min by walk, 10 min by bus).

So thankful we found Alan and Yvonne during our first time in Dublin and our very first airbnb experience. They are terrific people who made me and my travel companion feel at home the minute we arrived. They offered many great tips for exploring the area and went out of their way to help us navigate Dublin. The place was beautiful and nicely located, and our room was really cozy and clean. Yvonne's breakfast was the greatest! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Dublin.

Excellent stay at Alan & Yvonne's lovely home. The ensuite room was very quiet, a great size and a comfortable bed! Clontarf is a very short taxi / bus ride to the centre of town, so a perfect place to explore Dublin from.

The house is charming and very cozy. It is situated in a nice and peaceful residential area, well served by public transports. Autumn foliage along the street was very scenic. The room is bright, comfortable and intimate. Breakfast was one of the best we've ever tasted, and Yvonne's handmade muffins and fruit salads deserve a special mention. Alan and Yvonne are wonderful, they cared about us and immediately made us feel like home. Last but not least, the two cats and the ( very shy) dog were lovely. If we'll go to Dublin again, we'd like to come back there. The perfect place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay with Yvonne and Alan. Our only regret is not having the chance to catch them for a proper chat. The room was appointed to a degree that would put most hotels to shame, and the property is in a very quiet area of town. From the friendly welcome and snippets of good advice to the thought-out selection of sweets in the treat jar, not to mention the amazing baked goods left for breakfast, we could not find fault with anything and wouldn't hesitate recommending Yvonne and Alan's place - it exemplifies the AirBnB ethos!
