Currently, full shower/sink in the cabin, and outdoor shower/sink. Both a very low maintenance composting toilet (with a real flush toilet) and an outhouse are available. All water is potable and filtered for safe drinking. Outdoor seating area with firepit, dock, swimming, fishing, sunsets, canoe, kayaks.
A great place to vacation and give your dog(s) total freedom (please pick up after your dog).
Safety and Children: As an island, it is inherently an unsafe place in general if you are not comfortable with the outdoors. And no effort has been made to child proof the island nor the cottage. In general, we do not allow children under 15 to rent the island. And in all cases, additional releases will be required.
Accès des voyageurs
We will take you, all of your stuff, and your dogs out to the island in our Pontoon boat. After that, the entire island and cottage are yours to explore and enjoy. And we will then pick you up at the end of your stay and bring you back to to he parking area. In general, we have seating areas for socialization, swimming, and hanging out. As an island, the trees and landscape can be very delicate. So everything is there for you to enjoy but not to negatively impact the health of the island.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
After we bring you out to the island, you will have total privacy. The owners are close by and might come out to help maintain equipment or help out if you need it. And we will come get you at the end of your stay as well.

Seventh-generation Vermonter meets world-traveling city girl: where do you settle to live happily ever after? Burlington, VT, a little gem of a city that we've both been happy to call home since 2003. Andrew loves knowing everyone, and Betsy loves the fun downtown vibe and the outdoor sports.
We both attended Williams College, but never talked to one another there. After we graduated, we headed in our separate directions: Andrew became CEO of his family's company, and Betsy spent most of her twenties in Europe. We finally met, and fell in love, at our ten-year college reunion.
Today, Andrew's an online marketing consultant and Betsy's a professor at nearby Champlain College. We share our home with Andrew's mom, Leslie, who spends her days chatting with visitors to Shelburne Museum, where she's a guide.
We also share our home with our chocolate Lab, Lily, and our cats, Bailey and Magic Johnson (MJ). Lily is blind, and MJ wobbles when he walks because we rescued him after he was hit by a car. We ask that our guests (both two- and four-legged) be extra-cool to our little special-needs beasties, whom we love with all our hearts.
