Charming cabin located on Montezuma Canyon Ranch & Vineyards. The cabin is nestled against the sandstone canyon wall overlooking the vineyards and orchards. We are 16 miles and almost 30 minutes from Monticello. 10.5 miles of that trek is dirt road with a drop in elevation of almost 1,600 feet. The ranch is completely off-grid and very peaceful. You can explore our beautiful canyon where you may spot ancient moki steps and cliff dwellings or check out all of beautiful southeastern Utah.

Le logement
The cabin is approximately 1000 sq. ft. The kitchen, dining and living rooms are combined in one open room with cathedral ceilings. The bathroom is separate and has access from the living room or queen bedroom. The queen bed is in a separate room and the double bed is in a loft above the dining room. You can enjoy the morning sun, orchard views and a cup of coffee from the front porch. End the day on the back-deck grilling dinner on the gas grill and eating outside in the fresh air.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have the entire cabin and outdoor spaces to themselves.

Autres points à prendre en note
We are located 16 miles southeast of Monticello Utah and it is a 30-40 minute drive to the nearest gas station and grocery store. But the scenery more than makes up for the long trek to town.
Solar Power – The ranch and cabin are completely off-grid and depend on mother nature to provide our power. Keep this in mind when booking as we cannot offer air conditioning and small appliances like microwaves or hair dryers put too much strain on our power supply. Cloudy and short winter days mean that our batteries do not get topped off. This makes power preservation especially important. Only use necessary lights and appliances.
There is no cell service at the ranch, but we do have limited Wi-Fi and a ranch phone for emergencies.
The cabin does not have a microwave but does have a full-size gas range with oven, propane grill and toaster.
The cabin does not have air conditioning, but we do have fresh mountain air and a nice cross breeze.
The coffee maker is a 12-cup drip coffee maker, and we provide coffee and sugar.
The primary heat source is a wood burning stove. The bedroom and bathroom have a propane wall unit heater to supplement on those extra chilly nights and mornings. We provide the firewood to heat the cabin.
Outdoor fire pit - We ask that you please bring your own firewood if you choose to use it. We do have firewood bundles available to purchase.
Winter Guests – December through February AWD or 4WD is required. November and March weather varies so always check in about road conditions. The road is county maintained and they are rather good at keeping it plowed.
Most local stores, including the grocery store are closed on Sunday. Convenience stores and the Family Dollar are open on Sunday.
We sell our grapes to Sutcliffe Vineyards - 12174 Road G, Cortez, Colorado 81321. Our wines can be purchased at Cortez liquor stores or directly at Sutcliffe Vineyards. Sutcliffe Vineyards has a beautiful area for wine tasting. Check out their website, sutcliffewines.com.
Check out my Airbnb guidebook for more local information. I highlight local businesses, restaurants, museums, and sightseeing musts.
We have fresh organic produce, preserves, pickles and juice for sale at the ranch. We also support local artisans and crafty friends by selling their wares. We accept Cash, Checks, Venmo and PayPal.

I am a proud mom of 2 teenagers and the lucky wife of a wonderful husband. I am an artist and carpenter. I love laughter and having a positive attitude. I started hosting as a way to help out my mom on her ranch. I love using Airbnb when traveling and It has been fun and rewarding to be on the flip side.

Durant votre séjour
I am available anytime through talk, text, or email. I live in town, not on the ranch, so if you need anything you can contact me before you get to the cabin or shoot me a message when you arrive. Once at the cabin, the owners Dixie and Jude are there to answer questions or give you a hand if you need it. We love having guests and sharing this beautiful place with others. If you don’t hear from me right away I am out of cell service at the ranch.
