Welcome Home to the cozy Rose Room (see the second photo). Please be patient if we do not respond to right away to your booking request ~ we don't text, so we will check for your message in the morning and evening Monday to Saturday (we keep silence on Sundays). Thank you!
We welcome you to the Centre and wish you a peaceful, enjoyable stay
To ensure a peaceful, relaxing environment and ‘digital detox’ we do not provide Wi-Fi, TV’s, radios, etc., and request that you not use your electronics ~ i.e. cell phone/computer/ ipod/electronic book reader ~ in the common areas ~ and we do not have email facilities for guests to use. The nearest internet/computer access is in Haslett. There is a library center, a gas station, an ATM and a Post Office in Bath. Please ask one of the Centre family if you have special needs regarding electronics/computer/internet use.
As a Retreat Centre, consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs is not permitted on the premises; smoking is permitted outdoors with consideration of others; and for the benefit of all, guests are requested to wear loose, comfortable clothing to respectfully cover the body: no low necklines, sleeveless tops, shorts or short skirts. Long pants and long skirts are ideal for most of the year; long shorts and knee length skirts are acceptable when needed during the hottest part of the summer. Keys are not available to the Centre; the bedroom doors have a pass-through locking knob.
The Centre provides nutritious home-cooked* vegetarian breakfasts (with delicious home-cooked* vegetarian lunches & dinners available with advance reservations for an additional fee). Please let us know before each visit (10 days ahead if possible) if you have any other dietary needs. Coffee is not available at the Centre – if this is difficult for you please do ask so that we can advise you. Monday – Saturday meal times are: Breakfast 8:30am, Lunch 1pm, Dinner 6pm. To aid digestion lunch is a silent meal, with quiet talking if you wish at breakfast and dinner. Sundays are our Silent days. Sunday Breakfast is served at 8:30am and we serve a light lunch and dinner at 1pm and 5:30pm respectively. We ring a bell at 12:45pm each day to signify ‘Quiet Time’ – everything stops until the bell rings again at 1pm – this gives a stillness before lunch. We keep the quiet after meditation in the evenings and also in the mornings until 8am, whenever possible, for the benefit of all.
If you are pregnant or have any special needs, please do let us know before you arrive so that we can make sure that you receive all you need from your stay. Young people under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on Centre premises and be able to keep the quiet times.
Pets are not allowed.
The 6% State of Michigan Use Tax on your total is Not included ~ so you will need to pay it when you arrive by cash or check since we do Not accept credit or debit cards.
Please do ask if there is anything we can do to help you to enjoy your stay.
*We need to inform you that our home-cooked meals are prepared with Love in our Family kitchen, which is not regulated or inspected by the Clinton County Health Department.
