Adorable bungalow is nestled in Gulfport's Marina District, just around from the new entrance to the SkywayTrail that is under construction. Just a few blocks from Clam Bayou Nature Park and Gulfport's newly renovated marina, the area is a nature lover's paradise.

Le logement
We realize that cleanliness is top of mind for many of you right now. Accordingly, we are now following enhanced cleaning protocols through our use of professional cleaning companies who use EPA-approved products, follow CDC-recommendations to protect the safety of guests and all of our service partners. In addition these professionals give extra attention to high-touch surfaces and end the cleaning with a sanitization spray process that helps wrap around surfaces that normal cleaning will not reach. If you would like more specific information, please feel free to ask!
A grassy green yard where the sun shines and the trees sway. A screened-in porch to feel the breeze, and two living areas to gather and make vacation memories. Dreamy design with bright hues and charming coastal accents.

Could it get any better? Actually, it can—Bayou Beach House is tucked in the heart of the Marina District, just a short stroll from welcoming cafes, sunny beaches, farmers’ markets and art walks, and a whole lot of Old Florida charm.

Visit with another couple, or bring the family and let the little ones camp out on the reading room futon. This cheery bungalow has a boatload of character (think string-lit patios and vibrant color schemes) and has all the necessities (like laundry, WiFi, A/C, and parking) covered, too.

Wake up to sunshine in either of the two spacious bedrooms, each with queen-size beds and dresser storage. No living out of a suitcase here! Refresh in the full bath with shower/tub combination, then choose where you’ll spend your morning.

Maybe you’ll curl up in the reading room with your coffee and favorite novel, or share a pitcher of mimosas on the screened-in porch. Maybe you’ll bring your yoga mat to the grassy backyard and find some zen before starting your day. Whatever morning bliss you choose, Bayou Beach House provides the perfect backdrop.

And once you’ve come home from a day in Gulfport, whip up a fresh seafood feast in the full kitchen. Dine in the vibrant dining area or enjoy an al fresco meal and Mother Nature’s nighttime symphony on the patio. Wind down for the evening with a movie on the flat-screen TV, or chat over a bottle of wine in the second living area while planning your next day on the town.

Live like a local in the down-to-earth Marina District, where you can greet the day by shaking hands (and paws!) with residents on their morning strolls. Or hop on your bike (we provide two) and go for a spin around town—just around the corner is the entrance to a new bike trail that travels all the way from downtown Gulfport to St. Pete.

Just a few blocks from the marina and Clam Bayou Nature Park, relaxation here means serene nature walks and afternoons out on the water. Just over a mile away, Gulfport Beach offers a postcard-perfect setting for days in the sun, in the surf, on the volleyball court, or picnicking in the pavilion.

But lazy days and sunshine aren’t all that Gulfport has to offer. This vibrant town is teeming with Key West charm and community spirit. From twice-monthly art walks to farmer’s markets, from 4th of July fireworks to Formula One boat races, there’s always something happening here. Just ask us—your instant local friends.

2 bikes available with a signed waiver will get you exploring in no time.

Fantastically funky artsy beach neighborhood, perfect for walking, biking and enjoying excellent restaurants. Walk to the beach, to the Gulfport Casino, waterfront restaurants, Gulfport's quirky shops, the library and the theater. Excellent restaurants for all tastes and budgets, some earning "best of the bay" awards. Live music many nights of the week.

I'm from Michigan, but I’ve lived in Texas and Arizona most of my adult life. My interests are photography, travel, food, historical fiction. What do I do in my spare time? I don't understand the question!? Fun fact about me. We foster kittens until they’re ready for adoption. Our first batch was a mom with 7 kittens. And we utterly failed as fosters! We adopted 2 of the 7! Some of my favorite things are: Bright colors (not to be confused with shiny, pretty things), chocolate, humor, great lines, magic moments, a beautiful beach, wide-open spaces, aerial views, Flat Whites, Meet Joe Black, Outlander series, U2, Yanni, Enigma, A Tuna Christmas, Houzz, New Zealand, Florida Gulf Coast, old European cities, photography, fields of bluebonnets, Pinterest. My full-time job is overseeing the investments and financial operations at a 48-year old family foundation based in Austin. The foundation seeks innovative projects in the area of health, education, human services and community affairs. What is it like to have me as a host? We are prepared and want our guests to be prepared as well. Once we send arrival details guests rarely have questions, but we’re here if you need us. We have a message tree set up so that requests go to 3 phone numbers to make sure we can respond as quickly as possible to a guest’s need. We also use an app that guests can access from their phone or computer to get info about the area and the home during their stay. We try to think of everything and have our homes set up for travelers. What am I like as a traveler? I like to be on my own and don’t require much interaction although I’d be happy to meet our hosts. Do I have a life motto? I’m a big fan of big-picture dreams but not being married to them. Things change, people change and sometimes you just need to go in a different direction. I plan when necessary but I don’t plan everything. I’m fairly prepared most of the time – I’m always looking for another way if the first way doesn’t work out. I almost always have a “plan B” in my back pocket. We take a team approach to managing and caring for our homes. We’ve had relationships with many of our service providers/team members for YEARS. They know we don’t want our guests going without air-conditioning on the 4th of July. They know we want yards mowed on schedule. They know we want our homes clean. We know you want more than a couple of forks and some plastic glasses in the kitchen! We know you want clean, fresh linens and household equipment that works.
