Gorgeous private home and yard, with a rear gate opening straight out onto Hawthorne Park. Quiet street, 200 meters to movies, restaurants, cafés and gift stores. Pets Ok on approval. Safe upmarket river suburb with a leafy village vibe.

The house itself comes fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay including great undercover deck, all linen, great kitchen fit out so you can actually cook family meals, a Computer with free Wifi and a fully fenced yard. There are also 2 large reverse cycle air conditioning units to keep you cool in summer and cosy in winter.

You will love spending time on the covered rear deck overlooking the park, whilst cooking a BBQ and having a beer or glass of wine. After dinner take a walk across the park to the vintage movie theatre (or the brand new gold class $14.50) and see a latest release $8.50 adults or $4.50 per child or take a walk around the night markets (every second Friday).

Hawthorne has an amazing village feel to it. The local area is full of cafes, restaurants, gift stores and an old fashioned movie theatre. The park at the rear of the house has a riding/walking track and exercise equipment. There is also a shaded and fenced child's playground, tennis wall and basketball hoop. The park occasionally plays host to boutique night markets.

General rules:
We expect you to treat our property with respect and to leave it in the same condition you found it. We realise that accidents do happen and things break however we would like you to let us know what has happened so we can try and fix it (either while your their but at the very least for the next guests). We take great pride in providing a well maintained, comfortable, clean property and we chose our guests carefully. We also like to maintain a good relationship with our neighbours so we hold a strict NO PARTY policy. Quiet time after 10pm. Small family BBQ's or dinner parties and the occasional baby showers are acceptable.
NO SMOKING inside the house!

Pets allowed **ONLY upon discussion/approval with manager.
Pet Rules:
Dogs must be house trained and toileted OUTSIDE.
Pets must be kept off soft furnishings.
Pets must not be left alone at the property, unless they are either contained in the yard or a crate, if left inside.
You must monitor your pets to make sure they don't get stressed and bark after you leave.
All faeces must be removed from the yard prior to checkout.
All pet hair and any food scraps must be cleaned prior to checkout.
Any damage or excess cleaning that is caused by having your pet will result in extra cleaning fee's.

Upon checkout:
Please wash your dishes, remove rubbish & unwanted food from fridge and pantry to the outside bins.
Place keys back into the locker box on departure.

Everything about our stay here was excellent. We loved it! The location is amazing. The house is very charming and had everything we needed for our five night stay. Tracey was an exceptional host and we definitely hope to stay here again next time we are in Brisbane.

A little run down on the outside but surprisingly neat and tidy on the inside. A great spot for kids and has more than you need.

Hi Michelle. Thankyou so much for your booking and glad you all had a great stay. Just thought I might mention for potential guests looking at these reviews that perhaps "a little run down" may have been a bad choice of words. I would prefer to say she is "slightly showing her age". Please note: that everything external is in good working order and her lawns and yard are very regularly maintained.

My wife and I spent almost a month at Hawthorne on the Park and found it ideal for our stay. It is in an excellent location with Hawthorne having good restaurants and cinemas as well as a quality store ,Hawthorne Garage. It is also a short distance (25/30 mins) walk from Bulimba which has a plethora of restaurants and a large Woolworths. The Citycat ferry is a short walk away and gives easy access to Brisbane, Tracy was a very responsive host although there was little reason to contact her as everything was fine. All in all a very pleasant stay

This house is roomy and immaculate, and Tracey is a most professional and friendly hostess. She was forthcoming with communications and ensured that the house was cleaned and ready for us to move in. The house itself is adjacent to a park and is a two minute walk to cinemas and restaurants, yet located on a quiet street. Perfect location and highly recommended!

We stayed at this house for 10 days and would have happily stayed longer. The house is extremely well-equipped and is in a fabulous location backing onto a large park and near a bus stop with buses direct to the city. We loved sitting out on the deck watching the possums. We will be recommending this house to our friends when they come to visit us in Brisbane.

Tracey was welcoming and organised and made our stay easy and enjoyable. The house was perfect to show off the best of Brisbane to our family. The back deck overlooking the park was our favourite! We will be returning soon!

Hi there potential guests and possible hosts.

My husband (Richard) and I would love to host you at one of our properties "Chill Camp Hill", "Hawthorne on the Park" or our most recent addition "Bella Bulimba". We have both lived in Brisbane for over 25 years and we love our city! Whats more, we also love our little corner of Brisbane, yes we live in Camp Hill (only 5 mins from Hawthorne and Bulimba). So if you need help with the where/what/why we are more than happy to point you in the right direction.

We love to socialise and eating out with friends or entertaining guests at home is what we do.

We also love to travel, however now that we are getting a little bit older we love the comforts of home. The 3 properties are decked out with all the important stuff... too many to list but a clean kitchen, aircon, dishwasher, comfy beds and outdoor entertaining area (especially in warm climates) are our must haves these days.

We are looking forward to meeting you all and hope that you enjoy your stay.
