Many of Albuquerque’s best sights and experiences are nearby, including Old Town with its beautiful plaza and cute shops; a great cafe and bookstore up the street; and summer biking and walks along the river. There are several American Indian pueblos within 1-2 hours drive, and there are ceremonial dances at different times during the summer.
Newly updated by a talented designer/builder, this 2 BR/1BA house has a brand-new kitchen with nice appliances completely stocked for cooking and baking. Large master bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed, teak dresser, reading chair and loads of closet space. Second bedroom has a comfortable twin bed, computer desk and chair and a decent closet. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a comfy double bed too. Very nice amenities, including cotton sheets, bamboo towels, crystal wine glasses, original art, colorful accents and nice furniture. New windows and insulation provide coolness and quiet.
Right out the front door you have easy access to open space, the Rio Grande State Park and Rio Grande river, shopping, and restaurants. The house comes equipped with computer wireless, a flat-screen TV with DVD player and Roku (HuluPlus, Netflix, Pandora, etc.), washer and dryer, and off-street parking. There's also decent public transit nearby if you are here without a car. Access to airport, train to Santa Fe and freeways is easy.
Great for corporate or film industry stays. LGBT friendly.
I'm a Native New Mexican and live close by, so this is my neighborhood too and I love it! I am happy to give you lots of ideas of things to see/do in ABQ and throughout New Mexico, including great restaurants, museums, cinema, theater, hiking, walking, scenic drives, and visits to Santa Fe, Taos, Truth or Consequences, Silver City, Las Cruces and various American Indian Pueblos.

Native New Mexican who landed back in ABQ after 17 years away on the east and west coasts of the U.S.A. Traveler and artist, I love New Mexico and the southwestern states. I also often travel to San Francisco for work - lucky me!
