Beautiful lakefront summer home stay!
Date of Stay
Aug 22, 2016
Our family of four had a fabulous time staying on Lake Pend Oreille. We had an easy time locating and accessing the home. The home had everything we needed, a nice, well appointed kitchen with an outdoor bbq, very comfy beds, nice friendly decor, loads of room to spread out, and a spectacular view. After days of playing in the area, hiking, biking, boating, we spent our evenings swimming off the dock, and hanging out on the decks for drinks and dinner. I highly recommend. We have teen kids, but if you have little kids, or older adults you want to note that there are lots of stairs to the property, within the house itself, and down to the dock area. Also we were a little worried about no wifi, but there is a very good cell signal, and we were able to hotspot and have great internet access. Thanks for a great stay!

Another Wonderful Stay!
This was the second time that we have stayed at this property. We love how easy it is to work with the owner and her team. This year we had more family staying with us and they loved the house as well. Our favorite things: close to Sandpoint and can quickly dock for breakfast or a Starbucks coffee before heading off for the day, being able to watch the trains, the cute touches throughout the tastefully decorated house, how easy it is to put our boat on the buoy, how easy it is to park our trailer up above, and the spectacular views. Do we plan to book this house again? Absolutely!

Beautiful and Relaxing
Very Cozy and Warm feeling. Stocked very well, ready for activities indoor or outdoor!! The caretaker is very nice and explained use of property well. The outside could use more lighting. Coming home in the dark is dangerous!

We had an absolutely terrific time at the house. The views are spectacular. The amenities are first rate. There was even a family of otters that swam by the dock and the front of the house almost every day. My 3-year old son loved the house and keeps asking to go back to "the other house on the lake." We enjoyed using the canoe at the dock and taking a dip in the gorgeous water. The house is very close to Sandpoint, where there are some cute shops and restaurants and even an organic natural foods supermarket. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Wonderful house! We loved the proximity to Sandpoint. The owner has many nice touches throughout the house. Management and owner are really easy to work with. We had a small problem with the air conditioning and it was immediately fixed upon our notification. We are already planning a repeat visit!

We loved the cabin and the Lake!
Our family spent a week at this cabin in August. The cabin was ideal for our family and we felt it was very well equipped with high-end appliances and bedding. The view from the cabin in amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed swimming, boating and just hanging out on their very larg deck. We plan to go back next year!

I was more than impressed with this lake house. It was just what I wanted for a famy reunion with my daughters and son in laws. My 8 month old grand daughter did fine as well and the baby gates at the stairwells was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this place if you live lake access, a view and a totally comfortable house and surroundings. It was a delight to have the kayaks and canoe to go exploring in.

The place was perfect! It certainly lived up to the expectations set by the advertisement. The pictures don't do it justice. The location was wonderful, close enough to town but still very definitely a lake cabin. The setting couldn't be better. The front deck is huge and looks out over the water. I found myself sitting there for hours at a time. The accommodations were perfect as well. Eight of us were there, We are a family with teenagers to our oldest with their spouses. There was plenty of space for all of us. Everything from the size of the deck to the number of chairs at the dinner table was just right. I enjoyed the fact that it also felt like a cabin. it wasn't over built to be just another house at the lake. It achieved the balance between comfort and character. The layout was very accommodating as well. Bedrooms on separate floors meant that despite the large group. privacy was not a problem. Two full bathrooms with showers were also welcome. It is built on a steep hill above the lake and there are lots of stairs , nothing we couldn't handle however. The place was spotless and amenities were high end , comfortable beds, fabulous linens , the kitchen is new and modern, even the barbecue is new! We were there for two weeks and I feel like we only scratched the surface of what we could do there. Never did make it hiking or biking. Couldn't seem to pry ourselves off the deck or away from the water. We rented a boat nearby for a week, went out daily on the kayaks and we even got paddle boards one day and made fools of ourselves trying to master them. We've been home a week and I've already contacted the owners to reserve it again for two weeks next year.
The house is fully loaded with everything you need for a perfect getaway: plush furniture, new high-quality kitchen appliances, beautiful stone accented bathrooms, deluxe beds and bedding and ample outdoor space and furniture. Everything kept squeaky clean and impeccable!
Enter the house on the main floor: gorgeous views from the kitchen, living and dining space. Main floor includes master bedroom (beautiful picture window with lake view) and master bath. Down stairs includes second bedroom and bath as well as TV area and deck access. Upstairs loft includes third bedroom, day bed, yoga space, reading nook, small desk (in case you need to do a little work!) and sweeping views of the lake.
Please inquire should you need more space. There is a detached unit with kitchen, 1 bedroom & bathroom available for additional cost.
Relax and enjoy being perched at the shore of beautiful Lake Pend Oreille: take in the mesmerizing lake and mountain views, jump in the water for a refreshing swim, catch a bass off the dock, kayak to the Long Bridge, watch the trains pass over the lake and enjoy your meals on the breakfast porch or sunset patio! You'll hardly want to leave the property to enjoy the countless recreational resources close to home: hike up to Gold Hill, bike the trails, ski Mt. Schweitzer, play golf and tennis, shop and antique around town or catch the weekly Farmers' Market. Rent or bring a boat, kayaks or Jet Skis to have fun on the water. Or... just relax, read, chill and do nothing but enjoy the stunning views!
