Come enjoy a luxurious and charming casita by the sea! Enter through a private blue door into the garden patio and French doors that lead into a beautifully appointed living space & fully equipped kitchenette. The bedroom has a new queen size memory foam mattress dressed with luxurious quality sheets, feather pillows and down comforter and 3 piece bathroom en-suite. The roof top palapa crows nest has a queen size swing for naps after walking our own beach and to watch the sunset over the ocean.

Le logement
The overall look and feel of the space would perhaps be considered “boho chic” as it is designed with an eclectic mix of authentic Moroccan, Mexican and fine European antique furnishings, original art, moroccan and Turkish rugs and fine textiles and linens. The interior of the guest casita, in total, is a three room space with a private courtyard “blue sun” entry door that opens into a spacious garden courtyard featuring a spanish tile “wishing” fountain, fragrant blooming florals and a sweeping tree adorned with a collection of cathedral wind chimes; a space perfect for breakfast dining . Once you pass through the garden you’ll see a pair of tall French doors that lead into the living room area. The blue sun door entrance and the French doors are well lit for your safety and ability to see at night as it gets quite dark here. Also in the courtyard you’ll have private access to stairs that lead up to a rooftop palapa that has a custom swing for two with a queen size outdoor mattress perfect for afternoon naps after strolling our beach, wine tasting in the Valle de Guadalupe or local treasure shopping. Feel free to bring up a bottle of wine and a pair of provided plastic wine glasses and throw blankets to relax and watch the amazing colorful sunsets over the ocean.

The living room and kitchenette open through the French doors with access into the private garden and wishing fountain. The living room has been decorated with an authentic Moroccan shag rug, extra long antique sofa settee with a thick feather down seat cushion that a third person could sleep on comfortably and luxurious decorative pillows and throw, a gorgeous antique hand painted trunk in the window dated 1845 from Austria, a beautiful velvet bergere chair and expandable coffee table to dine while sitting on Moroccan leather floor poufs listening to Spanish guitar on your own Alexa. The new kitchenette is equipped with a brand new microwave, toaster oven and mini fridge with freezer. The floating shelves and builtins serve as ample storage for dishes, flatware, stemware, paper and linen napkins (cuz we fancy!), tea cups & coffee mugs, coffee maker, electric tea kettle and a wine rack. The counters and backsplash have been tiled with local talavera tile to compliment the customized King Neptune face with copper faucet spout and vintage pinwheel handles positioned over a stainless steel sink. As a courtesy you’ll find the kitchenette stocked with jars of dry cereal, oatmeal, loose teas, coffee creamer, sugar, honey, olive oil, salt & pepper grinders, hot sauces, microwave popcorn, hot chocolate, etc..,The fridge is often stocked with lactaid 2% milk, bottles of authentic Mexican coke, bottled waters, la croix and beers. In the freezer you’ll find a jar of fresh ground coffee and a tray of bottle water ice cubes chilling with a pair of ice cold beer mugs.

The master bedroom and 3 piece en-suite bathroom are luxuriously appointed with a brand new queen size memory foam mattress and dressed with high-quality feather down bed pillows and super soft high thread count sheets and quilted coverlet which are always freshly laundered after every guest. During the colder months the foot of the bed has an extra heavy feather comforter inside a Ralph Lauren linen duvet cover and authentic Mexican woven throw blanket. During the hotter months the bed is dressed with layers of lighter antique kantha quilt blankets from India. The bed is flanked by a pair of end tables with deep storage drawers, handmade ceramic table lamps, a clock, a scented candle and a bud vase with fresh flowers from the garden. You’ll find a good size closet with 12 hangers for hanging your clothing and 8 deep builtin drawers for your extra storage needs. In this closet you’ll also find a portable spot light, heater and fan, a brand new iron, extra blankets for the bed, extra sets of sheets and a shawl wrap to use during your stay for those chilly coastal evenings. This room also has a Samsung tv on the wall with directv, upgraded channels, music and many prerecorded movies on the DVR for your entertainment.

The three piece en-suite bathroom has a toilet, shower and a large vanity with sink (no need to remove the handful of shells in the sink) and lots of counter space and storage with extra bath towels, 2 beach towels, 2 bottled waters, extra rolls of toilet paper, a blow dryer and some first aid, sun and mosquito essentials. There is ample enough room to store your own toiletries.

I do hope you’ll come for a visit. Puerto Nuevo / southern Rosarito is known for serving generations of authentically prepared lobster from our coast. The Dunes, Primo Tapia, La Fonda and La Mision are only minutes south of us along with the wine region of the Valle de Guadalupe and Ensenada being a quick 20 to 30 minutes further south. There are countless things to do and see! I can also arrange for anything special you may desire such as couples massages, wine & tequila tasting, candlelit gourmet dinners with live guitar serenade, champagne, cake, flowers, yoga, etc.. all in the privacy of the courtyard garden.

I’d be absolutely delighted to assist with making your stay as memorable as possible ~

Autres points à prendre en note
Puerto Nuevo is a small town known as the lobster village of Rosarito. We are approx 50 minutes from San Diego / San Yisdro border located just south of downtown Rosarito and Popotla but before Cantamar and Primo Tapia with La Fonda, La Mision and Ensenada not much further.

Spend the day in our wine region “Valle de Guadalupe” where you will find exceptional vineyards with beautiful tasting rooms and world renowned farm to table restaurants. Ride horses on the beach, surf or rent quads at the dunes. Or, take a drive to Ensenada which is a quick 30 minute drive along the most beautiful scenic ocean view cliffs.

Our Rancho is a gated, private, ocean front, American expat community with vast ocean views and pedestrian stair access down to the beach accessible to walk when the tide is low. Our community is typically low key and quite and it’s very animal friendly. Please note that our Rancho does not permit loud parties, events, fireworks or drug use on the property or on the beach. The guest Casita is also a non-smoking residence. Our gate guard is on duty 247 however you will be given a key and remote control to access through our community gate during your stay once you check in.
