OUTSIDE

We have a stunning mature garden with lots of space to enjoy be it eating outside, relaxing on the rattan sofas, running around the garden, swimming in the pool, playing on the swing/trampoline, playing footie, playing croquet, shooting some netball goals or even have a bat in the cricket nets. There is ample space to explore, make dens or just relax. There is an old tree house which is NOT suitable for children any more.

DINING & SEATING:
There is a large concrete table with 10 rattan chairs for alfresco dining by the house, and an OKA rattan sofa 'sit soft' area for sundowners or time out. There is a large gas BBQ, a huge fire pit and 2 chimineas.

THE POOL:
The pool area is walled in for security and boasts a large pool with a slide (pour water down the slide before having a go!), parasols, outdoor table and chairs to seat 10 and 4 rattan loungers, all with thick cushions. There are bean bags for kids.
The pool has stunning views and makes you feel truly on holiday.
PLEASE NOTE:
The pool cover is a manual roll up cover - NOT a security cover. There are a few wobbly coping stones around the pool - it is an old property so please be careful. We do not take any liability for accidents. PLEASE WATCH YOUR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.

THE POOL HOUSE:
The pool house has a small kitchenette with an electric water heater, kettle, sink and tall fridge (no cooking facilities). It has a separate changing cubicle, storage for outdoor cushions, storage of pool chemicals (please keep children out) and a rowing machine. There is a separate loo, basin and electric shower.
THE POOL IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN SUMMER MONTHS. Please check with me if you are unsure. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN UNATTENDED BY THE POOL.

DRIVEWAY:
There is a private driveway accessed by the concrete outbuilding, with an electric gate. The drive can fit several parked cars. The Bourne Rivulet runs right past the bottom of the drive, and when it is full (usually Feb - July) it is a great fun place to splash around and mess about. Look out for mother duck and her ducklings!

SURROUNDING AREA:
This area is brimming with beautiful countryside and yet is within 20 minutes off the M4 and M3, just off the A303 and the A34. It is well known for cyclists with its breathtaking views, and loved by walkers for its endless trails and footpaths such as the Test Way and Watership Down. There are some famous landmarks to be found including Highclere, The Vyne, Mottisfont, Stonehenge, Avebury Rings and Danebury Rings. The Hawk Conservancy and the Army Air Museum are also worth a look. If you are looking for more of an adrenalin rush, there is Treerunners (zip wires) & Thruxton race track - all just down the road. The closest town Andover has a cinema and a bowling alley, and the Leisure Centre has just opened a climbing wall. Finkley Down Farm, on the way into Andover, is a great place to take little children, with animals to pet and an indoor play area. On the outskirts of Winchester (20 mins) is a wonderful interactive Intech Science Museum, or a bit further afield (30 mins) in Basingstoke there is the Aquadrome, Jump Factory, bowling, cinemas and Airkix, the indoor skydiving tunnel.

SHOPPING:
Andover is the closest town, with all the large supermarkets, basic shops and a cinema - a 10 minute drive. The market towns of Hungerford & Marlborough are close by, as is pretty little Stockbridge with it's buzzy shops and cafes, lovely walks and fishing on The Test. Winchester is the most beautiful historic city, with great shops and restaurants, but if you are looking for something bigger, West Quay in Southampton has all you need.

FURTHER AFIELD:
Missing the sea? It's an easy day trip to the Isle of Wight, and also to venture to Mudeford to see the famous beach huts and enjoy some sea air.
Want to get wild? Longleat House and Safari park is an hour away.

FINAL NOTE:
This is our family home and therefore there are lots of things that are precious to us. Please take as best care of it as you can, and if any accidents or breakages happen, please do let us know.
Enjoy your stay!

Emplacement

Hampshire, Angleterre, Royaume-Uni

St Mary Bourne and Stoke are two of the prettiest villages in the Bourne Valley in rural North Hampshire. It is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a conservation area, with breathtaking walks at every turn. The Bourne Rivulet runs through the Bourne valley for part of the year, which brings additional magic and wildlife. There are fantastic amenities in St Mary Bourne, including a fabulous shop, church, school, tennis court, village centre, doctor's surgery and 2 pubs, The George and The Bourne Valley Inn. Stoke is smaller but has a quiet pub and a lovely little playground for young children. They are quiet, friendly villages, with no street lights and little noise.

Other things to note
We have fibre broadband. Mobile coverage is patchy.
All bed linen, towels, loo paper and kitchen washing up stuff included.
We live in a small friendly village with links to the two surrounding villages where there are churches and village shops. Being in a valley, there are beautiful walks up to the ridges with amazing views. It is a quiet peaceful village with no street lights and very little noise
