I'm sorry you had such an ordeal. Unfortunately we don't have a 'chef' on staff, and have never claimed to have one. Our caretakers do provide a decent breakfast, and also simple home cooked meals if guests ask for it in advance. There is a well equipped kitchenette as part of this set of rooms in case anyone wishes to do their own cooking. We expect our guests to read the writeup provided before making a reservation to avoid coming with 'hotel' like expectations. As for the mosquitos, being close to the Terai jungles, Dehradun has its fair share of them in the summer months. But we also have rich bird life, and our entirely chemical free, organic and slightly wild gardens are the rare few that are still used for nesting by the paradise flycatcher, hornbills and such uncommon birds. Being a family of keen ornithologists, manicured lawns sprayed with poisonous gasses and pesticides isn't something we encourage (Website hidden by Airbnb)
I work freelance as a cinematographer, working mostly from Mumbai, but with a fair amount of travel. The rest of my time is spent between Maksudpur, Dehradun and Delhi. Interests include climbing in the Garhwal Himalayas and documenting alpine flowers.
