I’m sorry that you had a problem with you’re stay Austin. The pictures are accurate. You did not communicate this with me. However, with a constant stream of incoming guests, it is very important that guests make the property owner aware of any issues, so that they can be rectified; otherwise, they can go unnoticed.
As for safety, it’s a very diverse neighborhood, mostly residential and we do not discriminate against out neighbors. For the most part it’s usually pretty quiet. I’ve never had any guests complain about any problems or incidents. But no matter where you travel to, whether, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Europe or South America, you should always practice safe behavior:
1) Always stay aware of your surroundings.
2) Late nights travel in groups or with a friend if possible and walk down well lit streets.
3) keep money for a taxi if coming home really late. I’m New York (after 10p) the subways run slow about every 20-30 min and that is usually when they make repairs on the train tracks, so sometimes there will be detours or changes on some of the subway lines.
