Really great location on the upper west side, very close to transit and Central Park, along with plenty of restaurants and bars. Meka was a great host and very easy to communicate with, though we didn't see much of each other during the time I spent there. I found it to be excellent as a room for the nights, but left every morning and didn't return during the day, so I'm not sure what others' experiences might be there.
The house itself is historical, and the layout is a bit odd, but the furnishings are nice, the room was comfortable, and I had no complaints with any aspects of the room. I should probably mention there is only a latch on the pocket door to the room, no actual lock, which was fine to me but may bother some folks. There is a half-bath on the same floor as the room, but you have to go downstairs to the master bathroom to shower. There is occasional noise from the neighboring apartments due to the age of the structure, but nothing disruptive, and the neighborhood itself is pretty quiet for Manhattan. I would recommend this place to anyone who just needs a place to stay overnight during a trip, and wants to be in a wonderful part of the city.
