Welcome to the Wolf's Den, the perfect shelter in the heart of Paradise Valley!

Enjoy the right blend of cozy comfort and spacious living with a modern Western vibe and expansive views of the surrounding mountains and valley.

Located near Pine Creek, 45 minutes from Yellowstone Park, 15 minutes to Chico Hot Springs and Sage Lodge, 1 mile from the scenic Yellowstone River, 45 minutes to world-class skiing at Bridger Bowl. All with easy access to amenities in historic Livingston, MT.

Le logement
Inside, spread out in the bright great room, large well-apportioned kitchen, main comfy bedroom with walk-out deck, or the additional "bunk" room.

Enjoy the great outdoors from the backyard, or gaze at the majestic views and local wildlife out front. Nesting osprey, mountain chickadees, and mountain bluebirds are frequent visitors, while a herd of deer crosses the property daily.

This 2-acre property is also home to the Northern Yellowstone BaseCamp, part of the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center's field station complex . A smaller attached unit in the home with separate entrance, called the Raven's Nest, is also available for up to two guests.
There is an RV hookup spot as well - if you are traveling with friends who prefer a place to park, or for larger gatherings. Please inquire on nominal RV fees if so.

Rub shoulders with YERC's onsite science staff that includes ecologists and seasonal field techs who occasionally conduct lab tests in the converted garage. Check out the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center's website for more info on our programs!

The property has a history of educational and artistic uses. It once housed a one-room schoolhouse, later a working artists's studio, which was since converted into a family home until it's recent renovation for the Yellowstone Basecamp guest facilities, reseach station and my own newly built cabin.

Accès des voyageurs
Wolf's Den is the unit on the left of the house with main front door, and includes the back deck and front and back yard space. The garage is being used as a YERC field station, please park to the left of the garage closer to the front door.

NOTE: Due to COVID-19 safeguards, the hot tub is not available for use at this time.

Autres points à prendre en note
NOTE: The home does not have air conditioning. To keep it cooler in summer, close windows and South and West-facing shades, curtains during the day, and open windows for cross breeze after the sun goes down. (It almost always cools off at night)

My cohost and Realtor, Kerie, assists with bookings. She will be in touch to ensure you have all information and supplies needed!

The WIFI is 15MB download and sufficient for streaming videos, we are in the process of testing with multiple guests and others on the complex streaming simultaneously. . If you depend on internet video access for work, you may want to consider having cellular phone/hotspot backup to ensure connectivity. The cell service is strong on the property.

There is an RV on the property housing an onsite research technician during the summer.

Please call me Bob! I am the founder and chief scientist at the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center (YERC). Over my 30-plus years working in the Greater Yellowstone, my research interests have sought a more holistic connection between nature, people, and technology. That’s led to what I call “Adaptive Ecology,” studying not only how ecosystems adapt to changing conditions, but how the science of ecology must adapt to social and technological changes as well. That focus drives YERC’s mission today. Personally, I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and finding common ground among cultures and communities. I love sharing my knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone area and ecology, the best places to spot local wildlife, and my favorite watering holes in the area.

I work in Bozeman but spend much of my time in my "backyard" of the Yellowstone area and do visit the property and field station weekly. I also am in process of completing my cabin on-site. My co-host Kerie assists with guest reservations. We look forward to meeting you when I am there!
