Le logement
This is the perfect property for a holiday, with Burry Port’s shops, pubs, harbour and fine sandy beach within a few minutes walk. The Millennium Cycle Path is situated just minutes away and visitors can spend time exploring the surrounding Pembrey Country Park and other routes. Burry Port has its own train station, with great transport links. By car you are only 30 minutes away from the Gower Peninsula which has stunning scenery and walks.

Tŷ Glas Hapus offers a lovely base for friends and family who are looking for somewhere comfortable to retreat to after enjoying the attractions of the area.
Step into the spacious hallway with tiled floors which leads to the stairs, living room, dining room, pantry and kitchen. The living room is warm and welcoming with comfy leather sofa and chair (perfect little reading corner with lamp). There is an electric fire and smart TV for cosy nights in. There is a selection of DVDs in the footstool and blankets in the basket, for those who like to cwtch up.
The dining room offers indoor/outdoor dining options with a patio door leading onto a decked area in the garden, both offering dining table and chairs. There is an electric fire in this room also, enabling you to spend the cooler evenings still looking over the garden after a long day at the beach. Included in the dining room is a built in washing machine, high chair available and plastic plates, bowls, cups etc to make the most of eating outside.
The pantry and kitchen have oven, grill, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and fridge freezer. The kitchen also comes equipped with a lot of amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible, a real home from home. We provide a cleaning basket with some essentials in so you don’t need to purchase them. Also, in the kitchen under the sink is a container with doggy towels, blankets, poo bags and might even find a tennis ball in there.
The garden is completely enclosed so safe for all the family including the fur babies. We offer 2 decking areas each with garden furniture. It is a sun trap and you can enjoy sitting out into the evenings. The garden can be accessed from both the dining room and kitchen.
Upstairs you have a small landing area with a window that looks out towards the sea and on clear day you can see the sea and coastline. Off this landing is the bathroom, complete with free standing bath with shower, sink, toilet and full-length mirror. We provide toilet roll, flannel, hand towel, bath towels and non-slip mat for the bath.
Up a few more stairs and you find the 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror, 2 bedside tables, all bedding included and a hair dryer. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds in as standard, but they can be put together to create a double bed or one of the beds folds down and goes under the other if only 1 person is staying in the room and would like additional space. There is a wardrobe with mirrored door and one drawer and bedside table with 3 drawers.
Head to the harbour, which is just a few minutes walk, to sit and watch the boating activity, or wander along the bright sandy beach. The beaches are dog friendly all year round.
You are perfectly placed for enjoying all that this fantastic area has to offer, with the coastline of Carmarthen Bay stretching in both directions and the beautiful Pembrey Country Park just a few miles away.
For cyclists, the superb Millennium Coastal Path offers 22km of off-road cycle-track amidst breath-taking scenery, it takes you right along the seafront, with its outstanding views, and is perfectly safe for cyclists of all ages.
The town of Burry Port itself has pubs, restaurants, shops and train station. It is a lovely spot to enjoy a holiday in all year round.

Pembrey and Burry Port has everything to provide a perfect family day out or a relaxing holiday in idyllic surroundings.
Burry Port is a charming little harbour town within the Millennium Coastal Park, and is best known for being the place where Amelia Earhart landed after her record breaking 1928 flight across the Atlantic. On the way to the harbour, you will notice the famous Parsons Pickles factory where the finest pickles are made to a secret recipe, as well as lava bread and cockles.
Burry Port Lighthouse is a well-loved local landmark that sits on the outer harbour. A walk around Burry Port marina is a pleasurable experience, especially with the stunning views across to the Gower and the sailing boats. People love to ramble about the nearby paths and dunes or park up and enjoy and ice cream or a crepe, sea fishing trips are also available in season.
A couple of miles away is Pembrey Country Park and is one of Wales’s top visitor attractions. As well as the 8 mile beach and 550 acres of lush woodland, there are activities galore to entertain young and old including plenty of wet-weather options. Wales’ longest toboggan run, a 130m dry ski slope, wildlife trails, beach entertainers, crazy golf and a forest adventure playground will make it your kids’ new favourite place to be. Pembrey Country Park is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Gower Peninsula and overlooking the coastal scenery of Carmarthen Bay, why not round off the day’s adventures with a barbeque by the sea.
Pembrey Racing Circuit. The RAF developed their WW11 Spitfire fighter base at RAF Pembrey Sands and the 500-acre airfield now hosts Pembrey Circuit which has a packed motor racing calendar of events and a busy small private airfield. The challenging track has tested the skills of drivers as famed as Lewis Hamilton, Nigel Mansell and Michael Schumacher.
One of the finest Championship Links courses in Britain and currently ranked 6th best in Wales, the Ashburnham has hosted prestigious professional and amateur Championships. The fact that the current course record is no lower than 70, bears witness to the credentials of the challenge.
