Centrally located amid green hills. A perfect place to explore Kohala as well as Waipio Valley and Hamakua. Views of Mauna Kea and Loa. Just 20 minutes to world-class beaches for snorkeling, swimming, shoreline hikes, etc. I'm an avid hiker and love ocean sports.
Country house at the top of a hill overlooking the wide open plains of Parker Ranch and up to Mauna Kea. The air is very fresh and clean and cool. Pu'u Nani is beautiful lush and green, yet two miles from a desert environment on the leeward side of island. Night sky is full of stars. Guide books and literature abound.

I am at work teaching most days and workout -paddling, hula, etc. afterward each day. I'm happy to share my knowledge of trails and ideas on what to do. I want to offer and share the serenity that my place gives to me as well as share our island life culture. You're welcomed to hang out with what I do after work if you like.
I have one fluffy grey cat who is very sweet. He lives mostly outdoors. Pu'u Nani is part of a native Hawaiian rainforest. I offer local bakery muffins, or bagels, coffee and tea each morning. I'm often dashing off to work early each morning and home after dark, but in constant communication. Your stay really helps support my daughter in college! She is a Junior at the University of California Santa Barbara-Environmental Science major. It's very much appreciated. I couldn't support her without your support!!
Guests are expected to respect my home and decor, etc. Moderate alcohol use is fine. Absolutely no smoking or vaping. My kitchen is open for use as they wish.
Hawai'i born and raised. Island life style is my culture - environment and ocean in concert for serenity. I am often "on-the-go" but welcome any guests to join my activities. Follow my Instagram! - barbarahaight.
