Le logement
Overview
One of the things that makes Glamping Canyonlands so ideal is our location. We are at the middle point between Arches National Park/Moab and The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park will provide stunning scenery and sweeping vistas, world class hiking and climbing; and all this on the path less traveled and without heavy crowds. The ever-popular Arches/Moab area is also fantastic. Here the restaurants, shopping, mountain biking, arches, scenic wonders and fantastic cliffs justify the heavy crowds and faster pace. Regardless of your preferences, our glampground gives you the best opportunity to experience both of these awe-inspiring places!

Guests will have spacious 16.5 ft bell tent and private decks, furnished with a queen mattress fitted with bedding, seating for two, area rugs, end tables, LED candles, string lights, extra blankets, portable heater (bring own 1lb propane tank), board games, first aid kit, hand sanitizer, phone battery pack, lantern, lighter, deck chairs, picnic table and private firepit with grill top.
Please note, if there is a county fire ban, we will have to adhere to this and not allow fires.

Stretch your legs out after a long day of adventure and enjoy this spacious 16.5-foot luxury bell tent. The deck and lounge chairs for this accommodation face west towards the sunset. This is also the most private tent in the glampground, offering the least light pollution which makes evening stargazing the best on the property.
The closest tent neighbor you will have is approximately 50 yards away.
We have other tents with different views. If you would like a different view, please see our other listings.

Temperature, Weather & Electricity
We do not have electricity. We will, however, provide you with 1 quick charging battery pack to charge your phones, free of charge. For lighting you will be equipped with battery operated candles, string lights and battery operated lantern to help move around and walk to the bathhouse at night.

We do not have WIFI but depending on your carrier, you may experience little signal but please come with the expectation that you will not have any or very poor signal. If you really do need to connect to share those amazing Canyonland photos, the small town of Monticello is just 15 minutes away.

In the summertime, tents get very warm, even hot during the day. Fortunately, temperatures in the desert drop quickly as evening settles in. Just about everyone staying with Glamping Canyonlands will be out exploring the National Parks and surrounding area, so heat in the day usually is a non-factor. But if you plan of lounging around in the summer afternoon, be prepared to be on the warm side!
In the winter, daytime temperatures are ideal for sports such as hiking, climbing, mountain biking, etc. But evening can get cold! We provide extra blankets to help with the temperatures, but it is important to know what to expect.

Inside your tent you will find a fire extinguisher to be used in the case of an emergency. If you are not familiar with using one, please read the directions or talk to your hosts for more information.
Please, please, please do not ever flick cigarette or cigar butts into the dry desert grasses. The consequences could be dire! Furthermore, until we can establish a Fire Department approved designated smoking area, smoking will need to be done in the parking lot or in your personal vehicle. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Bathhouse & Communal Kitchen
There is a bathhouse with 1 toilet room and 1 shower room for our guests to share. You will have flushing toilets and running hot showers. We do provide you with towels, hand soap and toilet paper.

Communal Cleanup Area: This has a sink with a jug for water to wash your dishes. We have 2 portal cooktops that you may borrow and bring to your deck to boil water, etc.
This space is not equipped with a fridge as we do not have power for one. Please keep this in mind when getting groceries.
**ALSO, please note the grocery store is closed on Sundays along with most businesses in Monticello.

Water - please bring your own drinking water
We have to haul water from the town of Monticello. We ask our guests to be very mindful of their water usage. We do live in the desert so water conservation is already very important. It is very common for people who live in the desert or without access to a well, to haul their own water.

Glamping in the desert makes drinking water an important commodity. We do not provide bottles of water for two primary reason: sustainability and landfill. At Glamping Canyonlands, you will need to bring your own water. It would make us happy if you brought water in refillable containers that will not end up in the landfill or upon islands of floating plastic in the ocean.

The canyon country surrounding our property is stunning! But it is important to stay hydrated to fully enjoy all the beauty. We recommend everyone drink at least one gallon of water per day when hiking or engaging in physical activities. Please be prepared!

Pets
We have 2 black lab mixes who are super friendly and sometimes shy. They may come say hi if we are around working and cleaning.

We do not allow pets at the moment. The tents have proven to be extremely difficult to remove dog hair. We do not want to risk leaving hairs behind for the next guest. Once we have cabins and yurts, we will allow your furry babies to stay.

Parking
Parking is located on the gravel road that you drive on to enter our property. Please only keep your car on the gravel road. Our soil is VERY sandy and many vehicles can get stuck in it. Just keep on the gravel and you'll be fine.

Night Sky
One of the best features of our property is the stunning night sky. The Milky Way can be seen on most nights so bring your telescope if you have one! Stargazing from the decks is a must!

Hosts
Your hosts do live on the property and will be available to you. As we continue to grow and make improvements, we will actively be around, building and creating.

There usually is some highway noise from HWY 191 but around 11pm it almost disappears.

We are outdoor enthusiasts; love hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, paddling, mountain biking, snowboarding, etc. As we've gotten older, our pace has admittedly slowed down, but we still get out there whenever we can. We also love food, travel, music, life, our fur babies and a lot of other things. We've been married since 2012 and best friends since 2006. In fact, it was our honeymoon in the Canyonlands National Park that inspired us to open Glamping Canyonlands, our eco-friendly, off-grid campground. If there is anything specific you'd like to know about us, just ask! We hope we get the opportunity to meet you in the near future!
