My traditional home has served a growing family with many sleep arrangements, and can easily accommodate multi-sized groups who want to ski, shop, dine, hike, sail and attend cultural events while experiencing the peacefulness and variety of nature.

Space is listed for 12 and no infants for instant book. Larger groups and groups with infants will be considered by request.

Le logement

Large traditional expanded New England cape with a lovely VT setting, large backyard surrounded by woods, set back from a very convenient road only 3 miles from all shopping amenities, less than 15 miles from mountains, lake and cultural venues.
House was built in the 1980s, well maintained, oak floors and cabinetry, new carpeting, modern kitchen.
The main house (not garage) is available for use with expansive yard, deck, 2 grills, badminton....
The house has 5 designated bedrooms, with 2 other private areas with pull out couches.
I have found that families enjoy the house most as they are more comfortable sharing a house together. Groups with singles splitting the cost may not feel that all bedrooms are equal. This should be discussed with the group in advance.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

In the winter, I am often away in the Bahamas. Interaction is by computer/(website hidden), phone and text, as well as a local host and/or property manager who live locally.
In the summer, I am often living nearby on my sailboat and can be available at any time as requested.
I can recommend wonderful things to do in the areas, set up or recommend events/activities to do in the area.
Vermont is a 4 season vacation destination.
My background includes skiing, hiking, sailing, attending music and art events, educational lectures, dining, as well as a world traveler, etc. Snow mobile trails are less than a mile away. Vermont is a wonderful place for many family memories and solo adventures.

Autres remarques

1-2 quiet leased tenants live above the garage with 2 designated parking spaces. They may have an indoor or leashed pet. Please respect their privacy by not using the garage as house access. Quiet time after 11pm. Keep the garage closed and use the garage only for trash and recycling.

Please enjoy the entire house and yard except the apartment over the garage (has its own private entrance) and the garage. Be respectful of the privacy and quiet of tenants over the garage (quiet time 11pm). Please do not host events that include additional day guests.

House and garage doors must be kept closed and locked at all times.

•Parking (max 4 summer, 3 winter assigned)

•2 large Portable Air Conditioners requires emptying a bucket as needed.
•Water filtration system backwashes 12-2am and makes a whooshing sound.

Amazing experience. Cannot recommend it enough. We were 6 singles in town for a golf weekend. There was more than enough room for each of us to have our own space and some great common space too. Secluded and private, but only 5 mins to a town with restaurants, shopping and groceries. 15 mins to 2 different golf courses. Amy was warm and welcoming and provided all the information we needed to make the stay enjoyable (instructions for TV, Internet, recommendations for restaurants, etc). Would be great for a couple of families or a bunch of friends looking for a peaceful getaway. Badminton and room for football/soccer in the private back yard. Big communal dinning table for meals. TV room and board games. And a piano for those impromptu renditions of Chopsticks (and others). The house has it all... Definitely recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at the house! Lots of space and very quiet. Beautiful lawns and trees. Lovely decorative touches in the house, as well. Linens and towels in abundance. Good kitchen with plenty of pots/ pans/ knives. Amy was a great host and gave us all the information we needed and made us feel welcome. The tenants in the apartment above the garage are very friendly and have an adorable Australian Cattle Dog that is extremely well-mannered.

The house was great -- it gave everyone enough space and the backyard is spacious for frisbee and a game of bags.

Great home with a host that has excellent communication and cares about the experience that one/a group has. We had a lot of back and forth to Burlington to see our college student which was approximately 45 minutes round trip. So the house was a bit farther out of town then we would have liked, but a beautiful space.

Amy and the property manager were both very accommodating and both worked with me to help with the check in and check out process. Every time I had a question Amy was very quick to answer. It was the perfect house for what we were looking for!

I am an active, adventurous female, mother of 5, grandmother of 2, living primarily between Essex, Lake Champlain (on my sailboat) and the Bahamas.
I have been renting properties for many years and finally decided to make my home available as the children are mostly grown and gone (and I am hardly ever home!). I know the area well as a hiker, sailor, skier, and lover of the arts. I tend to gravitate towards the water, cultural spots, and places with history or a story to tell. My motto is "dare to be different!". Life doesn't happen by luck alone; it is a combination of good fortune and intentional decisions. At the end of the day, it is times spent with family and friends that are memorable. Burlington is a small cosmopolitan city with combined influence from NYC, Boston, and Montreal, and yet the surroundings are pristine and adventure abounds for those who enjoy the outdoors.
