Created just-for-two, and ideal for pets, Rumps Ahead is the perfect bolt-hole for a relaxing and indulgent getaway. Privately situated within its own grounds, this single-storey barn conversion enjoys unobstructed views over open countryside and down to the sea at Port Quin, framed by ‘The Rumps’ headland and Doyden Castle. Fully equipped for an indulgent getaway, the property enjoys a log burning stove for cozy evenings and sea-facing terraces for al fresco dining in the sunshine.

Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within the grounds of a 14th Century traditional working farmstead, Rumps Ahead is conveniently positioned within a short walk of the sea and minutes drive from the popular coastal haunts of Rock, Polzeath and Daymer Bay.

Laid out over one floor with open plan living in mind, the accommodation consists of a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine and separate tumble dryer, sitting room with vaulted ceiling and log burning fire, dining area with far reaching views towards Port Quin. Tastefully decorated, the master bedroom benefits from a super king size bed, floor to ceiling windows with views over its private garden and medieval stew pond and ensuite bathroom with Villeroy and Boch fittings, double ended bath and separate shower.

Ground floor: Entry hall with cloak cupboard and separate WC. The doorway leads into a fully fitted kitchen with dual aspect windows both with sea views and into an open plan sitting/ dining room complete with separate access to the terrace and garden. The bedroom is accessed from the living accommodation, and consists of a super king sized bed, fitted wardrobes and en suite bathroom. Exterior: terraces for al fresco dining at the front and side of the property with exterior furniture and BBQ facilities. The garden area is private and sheltered and overlooks a medieval ha-ha and pond. There is private parking for 2 vehicles at the property. Services: The kitchen is fully fitted with a range of units. There is an electric oven and gas hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. There is a separate washing machine and tumble dryer within the cloak area. The sitting room has a TV, DVD player, CD & Radio player. There is an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. The entire property is fitted with underfloor heating and logs are available on-site. 1 well-behaved dog may stay at Rumps Ahead although please remember that you cannot leave a dog unattended in the property alone. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. Babes in arms will be accepted.

Stretching along 3.5 miles of rugged coastline, guests can walk the farm tracks which lead to the south west coastal path taking you to the renowned fishing village of Port Isaac to the north or the natural harbour of Port Quin to the south - both just 1.5 miles distant and the ideal spot for a touch of shopping, gastronomic delights at the likes of Nathan Outlaws eateries, a wild swim or organised coasteering trips. For anybody after a foodie break, jump on the ferry in Rock to Padstow where you will find Paul Ainsworth's Number 6 and Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant
