Have this place all to yourself! My spacious, sunny studio (with very large balcony) is located on the top floor of a very quiet low rise on a tree-lined street just a half block up from one of the friendliest, liveliest strips in all of Toronto. If you want to use my bike during your stay, just let me know beforehand. It's all yours!
Spacious west-facing studio, about 600 sq ft; the kitchen and bathroom are separate, and I have a work area (with high-speed wireless) and couch area away from the bed.
The balcony is big and really becomes a second living room in the warmer months. I love to bring my coffee out on to the balcony and watch the people walk by.
My bathroom has a full bath and a very powerful shower - it will give your back a nice message.
Laundry is on-site (in the basement of the building). The building itself is very well-run with almost all long-term tenants. I respect my neighbours a lot. They are very quiet and would expect the same of guests staying at my place. PLEASE NOTE: I price this around $15-20/night lower than other rentals in the area because of the noise restraints. It is really best for a single traveler or someone willing to keep the noise levels low in the evening.
Location, location, location. Trust me: you do NOT want to stay in a big condo in the downtown grid. The best thing about my area is it allows you to get away from that (think trees, fresh breeze, friendliness, less noise) yet you can be right at the heart of downtown in ten minutes (although there is plenty to do here too.)
It is also very easy to get from my place from/to the airport.
There are only two subway stops in the city where you can go both south-north and west-east, and guess what? One of the two is just down the street from me. Priceless. It allows you to get almost anywhere very quickly.
Yorkville - 5 minutes by bike (10-minute walk)
U of T - 3 minutes by bike (5-minute walk)
George Brown College - 5 minutes by bike (10-minute walk)
Financial District - 10 minutes by subway (no transfers)
ROM - 10 minute walk
AGO - 10 minutes by bike
CN tower - 15 minutes by subway (no transfers)
Kensington Market - 10 minutes by bike (20-minute walk)
Little Italy - 15 minutes by bike (25-minute walk)
Queen West/Dundas West - 20 minutes by bike (20 minutes by subway)
Within my immediate vicinity there are about 100 bars/restaurants, at least ten coffee shops, three grocery stores, four or five yoga studios, three bakeries, six independent bookstores that I can think of, a premium gym where you can work out or use the salt-water pool/steam room/hot tub, several parks, two movie theatres (one independant) -- and much, much more!
-FREE USE OF MY BIKE upon request. You can get to everything by bike, and it’s a great way to get a feel for the various neighborhoods.
