19th Century Schoolhouse converted to rustic cabin. Leave the tv and ipads behind. Enjoy the silence and epic starscapes. Take a sunset stroll up Blueberry Hill or down by Rocky Lake. Pick up some fresh lobster and have a cook out at Cobscook Bay State Park.
The Schoolhouse comes fully packed with antique charms, including ornate tin ceilings, original schoolhouse chalkboard, as well as the more modern necessities, including shower with hot water, washer/dryer, electric stove, toaster, and microwave. With all the charm, this is by all means a rustic cabin - cobwebs, mice and all. There is a bedroom upstairs, accessible by a pull-down ladder, as well as a futon mattress in the downstairs one room living/kitchen/dining room.
Accès des voyageurs
The schoolhouse is available only in warmer months, as it is uninsulated and the wood stove is not available for guest use. Consider booking in May and October only if you are ok with chilly nights. There is no air conditioning, so the upstairs loft can be hot in summer months. Most nights are fine with the fan blowing.

I am not present while guests are staying in the schoolhouse, but I am available for questions throughout your stay. The house will be set up before your stay and cleaned directly following your stay, so please let us know if you need to adjust your check out time.
Please only book if you are perfectly comfortable going up and down a ladder to get to your sleeping loft. Alternately, you can make up the downstairs futon with some extra sheets. Please let me know of your needs.
