1) The pictures are inaccurate - the place is much more cluttered and unclean than presented in the pictures. The toilet and bathroom had very strong odor that spread throughout the house. We doubt that the sheets were fresh - I slept in my sleeping bag. 2) In terms of security: were not given a key to lock our rooms. There were at least 4 other people staying in the house and we weren't able to lock. In the middle of the night some strangers walked into our room TWICE! 3) In terms of safety, the only available heater was oil fueled. We had to choose between inhaling fumes or freezing cold. Overall this has been our worst experience with AirBnB. 147 CHF for this room is really a terrible deal.

The place is really great. We loved our room on the rooftop. We can easily just step out for a cigarette. A lot of great places to eat around the area. Kiyo is very gracious and hospitable. His other guests were also very nice and friendly. It's like one big happy family. Only problem is it's a little far from Shinjuku and Shibuya, about 40mins train ride.

Thank you to Kiyo to let me and my friend stayed at your house. The room that I and my friend stayed is very clean, comfortable and sweet. Although the room and the house is small but it comfortable and sweet for me and my friend. Kiyo is a kind person. Asked me if anything problem. Alhamdulillah, everything was good. No problem during me and my friend stayed in his house. Thank you very much kiyo.

I am the owner of Kiyo's House. I love traveling, and I've traveled many parts of the world. I was born and raised in Japan, but I've studied and lived in the United States for between 2003 till 2014.

In summer of 2014, I returned to Tokyo, Japan and started an internet exporting business with my friend, Masaharu. Eventually, I decided to start my own guesthouse around Asakusa. I opened Kiyo's House on December 2014.

I am native Japanese, but fluent in English, and currently working on to learn Spanish & Chinese. I love bicycling, running, exercising, yoga & meditation, cooking (Japanese, Italian, Chinese, etc.), reading, traveling, interacting with people.

I am relaxed and laid-back person, and would love to show you around in Asakusa & Tokyo.
