Le logement

This cute little beach bungalow house has 2 bedrooms (each with a queen bed ) and 1 full bathroom (with tub/shower) and is about 1,000 square feet.
Feel free to let us know anything else you may need and we will probably be able to provide it.
Beautiful, durable wood-look floors throughout.
We are blessed with perfect weather from Mother Nature probably 90% of the year. If it's too cold we have a gas heater in the center of the house. If it's too hot, we have portable AC units set up for each bedroom. The house has dual-pane windows and excellent attic insulation which help a lot.
One bedroom has a queen-over-queen bunk bed (fun for a couple of kids to sleep up top!). The other bedroom has 1 queen-size. All sheets & bedding is there for you (with spares). We also have a highly-rated twin foldaway guest bed with a memory foam mattress. We also offer 1 twin and 1 queen-size air bed upon request. We also have 2 single fold-out military-style canvas fold-out cots. Someone short could also sleep on the sofa in a pinch. We also offer a pack 'n play upon request.
KITCHEN: features granite countertops, breakfast bar, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, gas stove/oven, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker.
Full tub/shower, toilet, sink. Sorry, only 1 bathroom.
Tankless water heater (fast, always-hot water).
Dishes/flatware, pots/pans, kitchen/bath towels, bedding, dish & bath soap/shampoo, and enough laundry detergent for your first 2 loads.

4 mountain bikes with helmets available on request (in the garage).

2 beach chairs and boogie boards also available on request (in the garage).
Screaming-fast 50Mbps WiFi internet access is included (code given after booking).
No cable TV per se, but . . .
--Literally 60+ over-the-air channels via souped-up digital antenna.
--Enjoy Roku with access to NETFLIX (INCLUDED) streaming. Of course you could also access Amazon Prime (hundreds of streaming movies you can rent - just let us know how much it was and we'll add the expense to your account afterwards), or use your own online streaming accounts to watch a movie or popular TV show anytime (such as with HuluPlus, Vimeo, etc).
50" flat-screen TV.
HDMI cable (25 feet) included should you wish to watch a DVD from your laptop.
Washer/dryer is steps away in the attached garage (we'll start you out with detergent for 1 load if needed).
1 car garage has plenty of storage for your surfboards, kayaks, etc, and we can loan you our mountain bikes, beach chairs & boogie boards to explore the great beach neighborhood.
1 car can park in the driveway; another can block it in parking on the street. There is more street parking, but at times you may have to park about a block away.
Private yard with picket fence...Enjoy your own front yard space, complete with a propane barbeque. Great street for people watching especially on the weekends as the popular "Lighthouse Deli" is just 2 doors down from us.
Small dog/cat allowed (with pet deposit).
You'll arrange booking via Airbnb app with Tobe & Brenda (owners), though they had to move down to San Diego (our loss = your gain!). Very reasonable and attentive Property Manager couple (Anthony & Kristin) lives next door. Contact info can't be shared until you've booked.
Just let us know your preferences. Anthony & Kristin have lived in San Pedro for generations and can quickly orient you to the place and then stay out of your hair, or let you know all about this historic community, or anything in between.

You'll live in the urban oasis of the coastal "Point Fermin" area of San Pedro, perhaps LA's last true "village" town, nestled atop towering ocean side cliffs at Palos Verdes Peninsula's southernmost tip. It's always about 10 degrees cooler here from ocean breezes. Many LA harbor longshoreman families have lived here for generations, giving this town it's groovy contrast between the blue-collar union history, the neighboring opulence of Rancho Palos Verdes, and the diversity of Long Beach.

You've probably seen scenes from the neighborhood in various movies (Pirates of the Caribbean, Fast & Furious, Catch Me If You Can, Batman and Robin, The Usual Suspects, etc, etc).

(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) san pedro on tourism for a great start.

--There's a mini-mart, The Lighthouse Deli, Pacific Diner, and a bus stop all within half a block.
--Although there is a bus stop (Bus route 246) about 50 yards away, your probably best off with a car to get around. There is a lot to do within walking/hiking/biking distance though, including the parks & attractions and beach.
--Angel's Gate Park, a great setting to see panoramic views of the huge cruise ships and cargo ships entering the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal & Long Beach port, the St. Thomas Vincent bridge, the Cabrillo Lighthouse, and incredible ocean views from the cliffs over 100 feet high.

--Point Fermin Park's "Shakespeare by the Sea" plays on their outdoor stage multiple dates June-August each year.
--The Point Fermin Lighthouse of San Pedro Harbor - a local historic attraction that is just one of the many things to see at Point Fermin park.
--Paseo Del Mar (more stunningly beautiful panoramic ocean views).
--Cabrillo Beach park (enjoy parasailing, wind surfing, swimming, or a quiet Bon fire).
--Los Angeles Harbor Lighthouse is a local historic attraction. This can actually be seen from the street a few yards from your front door. You could also check it out close up down there past Cabrillo Beach.

--USS Battleship Iowa Museum.
--Los Angeles Maritime Museum.

To allow adequate walkway access to the Guest(s) in the rear (north) building, yet allow the front house (south) Guest(s) to take advantage of the extra driveway space provided by the driveway extension, the following will be the parking policy regarding vehicles parked in 536’s (front house) driveway area:

--On most days, a vehicle can be parked on the driveway/walkway areas such that the tires of the vehicle do not cross the east side (Lighthouse Deli side) of the cement walkway.

--To allow extra space for trash day, however, vehicles must not allow tires to touch the red cement block walkway at all from 24 hours before through 24 hours after trash pickup. For example, if trash day is 6:00am on Weds, then no tires can touch the cement path from 6:00am Tuesday until 6:00am Thursday.

We had a relaxing time in this home. The hosts were very helpful. The cafe is steps away and the quesidillas are delicious. It is not fancy but good food and prices and nice people. There aren't a lot of places to eat with in walking distance but getting an uber was easy. Grocery store has lots of options. The beach is 5 to 7 min walk and not busy at all. San Pedro is a nice, quiet small town. The bikes were great, you can ride along the ocean for a remarkable view.

Tobe's place was a comfortable place to stay with a relaxed California vibe. Not far from beaches, Tobe offered beach gear and bikes for our use.

Tobe/Brenda are from Florida/Mexico. We like to watch our daughter & son laugh and be crazy, and we like to be in the sun, hiking, or exploring the outdoors. Yosemite & Grand Canyon were our favorite places in recent years.
