Hi All :)
This is the 1st room of the house. Traditional breakfast is provided.
at the moment it is my Mom taking care of the guests (she did better than me) but expect some text from her if you're still out and about after midnight ;)

The first bedroom is in the most front of the house. it is not huge but spacy enough for you and your stuffs. Unfortunately it is noisy because the room is next to the street. You will get your own key.

The second bedroom located in the back of the house. Less noise from the street but also less space.

permanent resident of this house is my mother who is very active in social neighbourhood, one little sister, and a high school brother. Sometimes father, uncle, and grandparents come over to visit. we would be happy to have guests that want to hang out with us. however we understand that our guests might need privacy to relax and enjoy their rest time.
so it will depend on the guests

Autres remarques

Nous ne sommes pas une famille fanatique, mais nous avons apprécié la politesse en robe (je comprends que notre pays est très chaud, mais les pantalons courts à topless ou très courts sont considérés comme déconseillés autour du quartier), la longueur du genou est bien

we are not a fanatic family, but we valued politeness in dress (I understand our country is very hot, but topless or very short short pants is considered as impolite around the neighbourhood), knee lenght is fine

I would visit Solo and stay here again, great value for money - way better than a hostel (and the wi-fi worked very well too)! Even though I arrived Sunday and was leaving Monday morning. I was able to spend the afternoon on the scooter with their friend Hari (arranged by Annisa mother), he showed me the sights (a nice park/pond, around the city, the king buildings, even a street parade - many things were closed on Sunday) and introduced me to many locals/his friends. It was lovely and the Ice Tea stall next door is yummo!

Chi chi's homestay was excellent, she was really welcoming and friendly as well as her family and friends. She was great at showing us around the area and telling us places to go and see. She organised for 2 of her friends to take us around one day and show us the sights which was great. Every morning she made us a traditional Indonesian breakfast, which we loved. I would recommend chi chi's place for people to stay if they ever visit solo city.

I had such a nice time there! This place is the perfect place if you want to get into the Indonesian culture :) They picked me up, showed me around, explained a lot to me, cooked for me and a friend of Cici took me to all the places I wanted to see in Solo! The Family and the people of solo are so friendly welcoming and polite I haven't experieced such welcoming people at any other place. They all try to make you happy and I just loved to stay there. It's located perfectly and you have your one room to have some privat space as well as joining the familys life. And in solo there is a lot to see and to explore. I will come back :) Thanks a lot to Cici, Annisa, Ari and everybody else that make my time so special! :)

Annisa was fantastic at helping us before we arrived in Solo, warning us that there would be lots of family staying at the same time in case that changed our choice, advising us on things we might enjoy in Solo and also explaining the Indonesian rail system to us so we could avoid paying for a taxi! Her uncle very kindly offered to meet us at the station as well as dropping us off when we left. All of the family we met were lovely, very helpful with their suggestions and we really appreciated their kindness, and their cooking! As mentioned the room was fairly noisy during the night though we found it unsurprisingly didn't affect our sleep. Location wise, it was around a 20 minute walk to the kraton which was great, or under 10 mins to the grand mall when we just wanted to grab some snacks which was helpful. Would thoroughly recommend!

It is a really nice place to spend the night. Tante Chici is a friendly host and really helpful. The check in and check out rule is flexible, so it helps a lot. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable even though made from kapok. People having allergic to dust or kapok should be aware. All and all, it is a nice place to stop over or to stay for your vacation in Solo.

Hi all! I am currently living in New York to study tourism management. So sorry I couldn't hang out with you in Solo. Since my mom love hosting people (always new story, we love diversity) we decide to keep it open.

But I am the one doing the reservation and initial contact with guest :) feel free to ask anything about my hometown. Even if you're not gonna stay with us ♡♡
