Our place is really quiet, and previous guests would confirm that as mentioned in their reviews. It is NOT CLEAR whether Sylvie meant that the overall environment was noisy and the air was unbreathable. BUT let it be clear, this is unfair, we are on the vicinity of the beach, Subic Bay, West Philippine Sea (some call it South China Sea); so how can air here be unbreathable and polluted? If fresh sea breeze is polluted, then by now, people living in big cities would all be dead!
It's really hot now, what can you expect? It's summer. And lots of people flock to the beach, they are tourists, the place is a tourist destination; we can't tell them or our community to be quiet. C'mon, be fair and honest!
Ants and insects (those are our pets --- JOKE!): you can't totally avoid having these critters from time-to-time; that's why we tell our guests that if there are any problems or complains, they should tell or inform us so we can fix the problem. Sometimes problems like this arise, which we do our best to solve it; although it is a community thing; and a national issue here, being a third world country. But cockroaches and ants are everywhere in the whole planet.
That's what the fridge is for, to put food there so it will keep fresh, and uncontaminated by insects, IF EVER there are any.
Lastly, we can't keep on inspecting the room while guests are inside; we also want to respect their privacy. We only come in if we are called.
