We are a family of four and live next door to the cottage. We will greet you and make recommendations for your stay if you would like us to. Any children are welcome to use the larger garden at the top (including trampoline and slide) and our own children will be happy to share their toys.
The garden is terraced and is adjacent to our own garden but we have a larger garden at the top which guests are welcome to make use of. We also have a travel cot if required.
We have recently installed a microwave, additional heating in the living room and are currently pursuing options to increase our broadband speed. This season we have put a new carpet in the front room and replaced the kitchen flooring.
We have recently purchased an extra single bed which is stored under the double bed. This can be put up for children when requested.
The stairs in the property would not be suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
We ask guests to respect the neighbourhood. Well behaved pets are allowed by prior arrangement.
No smoking please.
I arrived in West Cumbria about 20 years ago or so and absolutely love it, especially our lovely little village of Gilcrux. I am a working mum and so never stop running around but if I get the chance I do enjoy reading, gardening and going for walks up the fells, around the lakes, down the country lanes, through the woods or along the beach...bored is not a word we use around here!
