I generally don't keep late hours. It was an exception. I have a pretty busy schedule. This is the first time in dozens upon dozens of stays that someone has left such a comment. There was one evening where I was so busy that I fell asleep trying to catch up on some television. I hope future reviewers don't harp on this because it is just not true overall. One evening of falling asleep with the tube on does not constitute a pattern. These things happen but are hardly not tiresome. As soon as you mentioned you could hear me I immediately shut off the television and went to bed. Apologies! Claire Danes was a bit of a snooze on Homeland that evening. I think that's something a guest should be understanding of...and again I was super mindful of that. The unwelcome roommate thing is weird. I RARELY saw you because of my busy schedule... that's kind of on you how you choose to interpret being in an airbnb space. The airbnb experience is what you make of it and I'm sorry you got that vibe. No one else has. In terms of the bed... I'm beginning to feel like this is something some reviewers sift through to complain about. Airbnb hosts for the most part do all they can to make their guests comfortable. I've even added padding to the bed and provide a ton of other things to accommodate you. Apologies, but you are not going to get a Starwood level "heavenly bed" in most airbnb stays. But you will get kind, welcome, hosts, safe environments...and all we can do to help you enjoy a city while enjoying a budget that does not break the bank. :) RE: Sleeping on the couch. I wasn't so thrilled to find you there. The fact of the matter is your travel partner was a VERY loud snorer. I thought that's why I found you on the couch. And please note, that was not part of the deal. Sleeping on the couch constitutes a full rental and usually an extra charge because then I suddenly have more things to wash and clean... and also not the freedom to share a common space. I think that was a bit out of line and taking a bit of advantage of an airbnb guest situation. Instead of coming home after a long day last night, I had the additional cleanup of sending out pillow covers etc. from the couch to clean which adds to a big cleaning expense. Neither myself or future guests what to relax on a couch another guest has drooled all over. It's unfortunate this did not work out on a more positive note.
