The Grand Mesa is beautiful! Stay a few nights in an adorable log cabin. There are a total of 9 cabins for rent. Cabins 1,4,&5 have been updated recently, & cabins 3,6,7,8,9,&10 are an older cozy style! If the calendar shows full, contact us!
We are across from two lakes, beautiful scenery, hiking trails, XC skiing, atv-ing, snowmobiling, canoeing, mtn biking, and great fishing! We rent boats, stand up paddle boards, snow shoes, and snowmobiles. There's something for everyone!

Le logement

The cabin has a kitchen with all the cooking essentials you should need for your mountain getaway. There is a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and more. Just bring your own groceries and a chef! The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. Compact, but efficient for a log home.

Accès des voyageurs

Each cabin has its own fire ring outside, but you are more than welcome to use the community fire pit. Around the larger fire pit are hammocks to enjoy the view looking out over Deep Ward Lake. We also have a community pavilion that you are more than welcome to use as well. There are charcoal grills here and extra picnic tables. We rent boats and bicycles here as well. Take a cruise out on the lake in a canoe, row boat, stand up paddle board, or the hydrobike!

Échanges avec les voyageurs

Jeff & I live here on the premises, so we will be around if you need anything at all. Advice on hikes, directions, extra towels, we are here for you.

Autres remarques

The weather can change quickly on top of the Mesa. You may want to make sure to bring with you extra clothing, rain jackets, and bug spray. During the winter months, the road is plowed right to our property, so there is no need to worry about four wheel drive, but having good snow tires is always recommended for safety.
Keep in mind that there will be snow on the ground from November through May and sometimes into the beginning of June. We are at 10,200' in elevation.

When leaving your cabin, please make sure to do all your dishes.

Also, please turn your heater off in the summer (if you turned it on) or turn the heater to low in the winter.

We ask that you help out by taking your trash to the dumpster.

Don't worry about sheets or towels, we will come in and strip the beds. If you didn't use any towels, just make sure they are hanging where you found them. That way we can cut down on laundry.

For those bringing pets, please make sure to pick up after them and dispose of it in the dumpster.

All of our cabins are non smoking cabins. If you do smoke outside, please make sure to dispose of butts in the trash.

Thank you!

Awesome place in the Grand Mesa National Forest. Definitely a great value and the host was extremely helpful giving us many local tips to help make our trip the best it could be. Highly recommended!

The cabins were cute and cozy as expected, and the stars at night were definitely a sight to see. The hosts were very helpful and kind even when our plans changed and we showed up two hours earlier than the allowed check in. It was a last minute trip and we were surprised by the amount of snow in the middle of April. Being unfamiliar with the area we expected to be able to sit by the lake and bask in the warm sun, but were surprised to see the lakes frozen over and the cabin buried in 6 feet of snow! Turns out the cabin's are 20min outside Cedaredge and some 4000ft higher in elevation. However it was still a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The cabins were exactly what we were looking for. They were in the trees across the road from a lake. The cabins themselves were great. They had everything you needed, and were clean and comfy. My two young boys were sad to leave. The hosts were good- they were there when I had any questions. We will definitely be back.

Basic accommodations. Double beds are full not queen. Quiet and pretty location. If you fish it's a great place, close to many uncrowded lakes and canoes for rent.

This was by far the best rental property available near the lakes and hiking trails. The space was clean, and the owners were always available and helpful when we needed them. We would definitely stay here again. We traveled July 2016 with 2 adults and 4 teenagers and stayed in Cabin #4. The table only sat 4 people but we made it work. The temperatures were in the 40s in the morning and 70s in the afternoon. I would suggest bringing a light jacket for the mornings. Overall it was a great vacation for all of us.
