I have moved to a new apartment 10 minutes closer to the Old City. See: Bright and comfortable apartment in good location.

Located in a quiet neighborhood, a 35 minute walk to Old City, the apartment is comfortable with bedroom, living/dinning room, kitchen, and laundry room. When I'm abroad, it's all yours. When I'm home, you have the bedroom and I provide breakfast, a pot of soup, houmous, salads, bread, etc. available all day.

Le logement
The two roomed furnished apartment is very cozy. The bedroom bed is extremely comfortable. A couple can easily enjoy the bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped. There is also a washing machine. The apartment is freshly painted. I have an old record player and lots of records - jazz, rock n roll, ethnic, classical, bluegrass. The apartment is on the ground floor and is easily accessible with plenty of parking and near a good bus stop. When I am home (most of the time), I provide breakfast and food for dinner at no extra cost. I don't think that you can find such a deal anywhere else in Jerusalem.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have complete access to everything in the apartment. If I am here, I will sleep in the living room. I come back fairly late most nights. In the morning I will make breakfast for everyone and most days, I am happy to share a nutritious hot soup with my guests. So when I am here, you will enjoying half board as well as a place to sleep. If you want complete privacy for a certain amount of time or nights, let me know and I will make other arrangements for myself. You do have a door to the bedroom and the living room is on the other side of the apartment which gives you privacy. If I am travelling, then the apartment is all yours.

Autres points à prendre en note
I have hosted about 200 people with Airbnb over the past 4 years. Everyone loves the space and the environment. I am sure that you will too.

Jérusalem, Israël

A five minute walk from the apartment leads to the Talpiot Tayelet which is a beautiful promenade with a magnificent view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Guests should definitely walk the promenade to go to the Old City which is only about a 35 to 45 minute walk away. The apartment is not right next to the Old City and you do need to walk or take a bus to get there.

It takes less time to get to the Cinemateque and the renovated Old Train Station with its restaurants, coffee shops, free entertainment, yoga, exercise, and daily handicraft fair.
There is now a free shuttle bus service to the Old City every 20 minutes from a spot that is less than a 20 minute walk from the apartment. The immediate neighborhood has parks, schools, two Conservative synagogues where people will invite you for meals, and many Orthodox synagogues where people will be welcoming. Also two supermarkets and a good number of little stores, banks, pharmacies, emergency health clinic, community center, etc.. The neighborhood is not far from Derech Beit Lechem and many restaurants and coffee shops. The apartment is also not too far from Kibbutz Ramat Rachel with its swimming pool and fitness room. The population is quite mixed with people from all over the world - Russia, South America, native English born residents, and native Israelis. This is a place where real Israelis live and where many will be happy to practice their English with you. If you are interested in living in a real Israeli neighborhood with real Israeli neighbors, this is the place to do it.

I grew up in America and came to live in Israel when I was 30. Married, divorced, 4 adult children and one grandchild. Before that I hitchiked around the world for 2 years staying with many people. When I returned to Washington, I started a collectively run, anti-profit, community, Kosher restaurant which ran on the basis of workers self management and was the best work environment that I have ever experienced. Lived in London for a year before coming to live in Israel. I have held a good number of jobs in the non-profit world and try my best to improve society and myself. I try to laugh rather than cry at the absurd in the world. I am curious about everything and try to understand what makes people tick. I have hosted more than 100 people on Airbnb. My guests really like me and I have several requests every week to host people. I love Israeli folk dancing and go out 3 or 4 times a week. Also movies and have a membership to the Jerusalem Cinemateque. I really like people and perhaps most of all trying to change the world. At least a little part of it. If I am home and have time, I might be able to show you some of the city.

Durant votre séjour
I will be home to let you in when you first arrive. I will give you a key and you can come and go whenever you want. In the mornings, I will prepare breakfast and then leave the house and come back most nights fairly late. Depending on my schedule, I will be happy to take you in my car and show you some of Jerusalem that most tourists don't see. I will also be happy to tell you all about Jerusalem - where to go, what to see, what you can do for free, the best way to get places. I like to talk and if you want to bounce your reflections off someone or just ask any kind of questions, I will be happy to entertain conversations on any subject.
