A traditional red and White House in the archipelago of Stockholm! Here you can enjoy the summer, spring, autumn and winter with a beautiful landscape and enjoy taking a swim in the sea. You can go here by bus, car or boat all year round. Welcome
Take a swim or fishing
You can go down to the water and have a swim, if someone asks you are friends of Frida. All the people who has access to that bridge by the water is family/ relatives so they will not recognize you but surely ask who you are:) the best is to jump in by the stairs (badstegen) if you want to swim. Its deep so you can dive in from the stairs, but remember never dive into the water in a new place;)The water is not salty so it will feel different.
If you just follow the small road up further the house, in 50 meters, you reach a Y-cross, go in to the small treck in the wood, the path will lead you down to a small community Grundviken, go out to the
Just follow the big road back to where you came from with Car/bus. Its very beautiful to watch all the traditional houses by the sea.
Grundviken, round 15 min.
water and yuo will reach the water with a beautiful bridge, or go ahead and you will eventually come out on the big road. Take right and you will come to the busstation (brokholmsvägen). This round tour its about 15 minutes walk, and a nice one.
Norrleden, 20 min to the other side
If you want to walk in the forrest and make the day longer, take a walk trow the forrest to the other side of yxlan. Go down o the big road and the busstop, to the right of the red house at the bus stop (my mothers house) , there is a road up between the houses. Follow up in until a small path, treck (stig) , follow the path up in the woods. Go right in the Y-cross, just follow it 12 minutes and you soon reach the other side of yxlan, where you can watch the sunset and the cruisers ship! Bring something to eat or drink and stay for a while and enjoy the view.
Visit the lighthouse, Fyr of Vagnsunda
The lighthouse is at the same side of the island as Norrleden, but you have to go further down on the big road first. Walk about 15 min to a sign SANDVIKEN, take right. Follow it until you see the water. There you go down on a small rocky rad down to the water. Go along the water on a small path, to the right. Follow it a few minutes in the woods and you reach the lighthouse! Be careful it can be VERY slippery, don’t walk on dark spots, it means muddy and slippery rocks. For children it’s a bit far, if you don’t take the car or have a stroller/barnvagn.
Drive back to Köpmanholm, the ferry and buy some candy, ice-cream or a traditional Tunnbrödrulle, sausage in bread. Or just walk around between the houses. Take the ferry over to Furusund and eat at Furusunds Wärdshus. In Furusund the famous Author of Pippi Longstocking, Astrid Lindgren had her summer house and gave ideas to the characters in VI PÅ SALTKRÅKAN.
