Private First Floor Apartment of an 1849 historical home in the heart of Middletown, CT. One block to Main street with many great restaurants, Wesleyan University & across from the public library. Lovely fenced in yard, ornately covered side porch.
We have a no smoking in the house or within 100 feet of the entries and windows of the house. If you do laundry we ask that you use our unscented laundry detergent and dryer balls. We are not attached to the brand just that it is unscented to prevent any issues for others with allergy/sensitivities. Other than that we simply ask you to be respectful of others in the house with the noise level between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
We travel a lot but occasionally we are around. If we are here we have an 8 year old boxer who is friendly as well as protective. She stays with us in the upstairs apartment. She loves our backyard and kids in particular. Please let us know how you feel about dogs. It is very easy for us to manager her while you are here. There is no need to interact with her or we can leave her out to hang around if you love dogs.

I am married to my sweetheart and although we enjoy our own individual lives, we especially love doing life and being together more than most anything else. I'm also a dad of 5 and "grampy" to 8.
I am a music lover, guitarist and singer with one group album in my credits. I have been building and remodeling homes since 1980 and I still actively love what I do. I share these talents and gifts by volunteering throughout the country particularly in disaster areas as needed. My wife, Megan and I have been working together in the building business since 2000.
We went Raw, as in food, in 2009 and we wrote a book together on the Raw Smoothie subject and self published it in 2010 and we are delighted that it has been amazingly successful selling throughout the world and is now ready for the 5th edition printing. As a result of that book and wanting to share what we found out about the benefits of eating Raw we also started and have been running a "Raw Organic Fruit and Green Smoothie" business called "Raw You-niverse" in 2011. This has been so much fun and crazy successful as well. We are still a lot raw but not 100%.
We practice having fun and magic in our lives everyday and sometimes we have to remind ourselves to do that. We work a lot and travel a lot and still act as guides in the "unschooling" of our youngest, a 17 year old who is a true horseman and travels with us. He plays polo as his vocation in various locations in the US and abroad.
We are New York and New Englanders mostly by breeding and time spent and love it here. We spend a good deal of time in CT during the week, VT and Maine on long weekends between snows, and traveling in our motorhome in the warmer climates during the winters in the US.
We have a zest for living and love meeting new folks and sharing stories and learning about life where ever we go. We really like being friends with people all over the planet.
