As much/little as you want us to be. My hubby is very fun and chatty, and I am on the quite side :)
We are a young couple who love to travel! Share your travel experiences with us. We would love to hear them for good ideas of what to see and do! We are pretty chill people. The biggest favor I would ask is to love and care for our home :) This is our brand new home and we really love it.
Apologies to the 99.999% awesome guests that our house rule is very detailed. It used to be a lot less defined as we always try to treat people the way we want to be treated and hope in return. That has not always worked out. We have experienced some very rude guests, and our rights as host are not well protected when contacting Airbnb customer service. That's why we need to put rules clear upfront and it should help both us and the guests.
##We want you to enjoy your stay with us. If you need anything or have any suggestions, just let us know. If you are unsure of anything, just ask :) it's the human connection that makes the Airbnb experience unique and fun! ##
Please be aware of and follow all of our rules throughout your stay. Most of what follows is common sense or common courtesy. Understand that different people have different living habits, the house rules help avoid potential conflicts.
-Please read through the entire description before booking. This way you know what to expect.
For example, we do not have AC. While we survive summer quite comfortably (typical Seattle summer is pretty mild, you might not want to book if you are really hot-natured or visiting at really hot times.
-Please communicate through Airbnb, not phone or text. It helps us keep track of your reservation information, so we do not confuse you with someone else. Please make sure you use the account that booked the room to contact us.
-Please make sure to lock the front door after entering or exiting. Keeping the door locked helps ensure the safety of everyone in the house and both our belongings and yours.
-Kindly take off your shoes at home. (There is a basket to put shoes in at the door. Slippers available for downstairs if needed). We have wood floor downstairs and carpet upstairs.
-Please be mindful when dragging luggage to avoid any damages.
-No smoking or "vaping" of any substance is allowed. Please refrain from smoking outside as well to not disturb our neighbors.
-No pets/animals unless already agreed upon. Any guest who intends to bring an animal, MUST disclose this prior to booking. In the case of a guest who fails to disclose that they intend to bring an animal prior to making a reservation, and arrives with an animal, their reservation will not be honored and they will be turned away.
-Please do not lose the key! ($25 per missing key)
-You may use the Microwave to heat up your food and use the Fridge to store your food. Help yourself to glasses for water and plates/bowls and silverware, just rinse them and leave them in the sink when you are done!
Note that any other appliance other than the microwave and fridge is NOT included. No cooking is allowed in the kitchen by guests.
We like our house nice and cool. Please do not change the thermostat for downstairs (common area). There is a separate thermostat in your bedroom, please keep the door closed when you have the heat on (max temp: 75F). Please turn off the light and heat when you leave the house.
-Please leave things as they are in the house
Do not remove pictures from walls, don't move furniture around.
-To prevent abuse (which have experienced in the past), we charge $1.5 per washer load + $1 per dryer load ($2.50 total). Laundry hours are 9am to 10pm. We provide detergent and will set up everything for you!
-After use of the bathtub/shower and sink, please clean out hair from the drain/floor area and sink area and make sure tub/shower is basically clean.
-Do not leave personal belongings in common spaces when done with those areas. Personal belongings should be moved to the bedroom you are in.
-Please be considerate of others. Try to keep your voice down inside the house and around the neighborhood. Please do not party. The house is pretty well insulated, but while you may be on vacation, the neighbors and us still have to go to work :(
-While it is fine to consume alcohol here, you may not be present in my house in an incoherent, intoxicated state. Persons who are "drunk" in my house will be asked to leave my house and find another place to stay.
-Guest agrees to pay Host for damages or loss for any of Host's property damaged/lost by the Guest.
-In order to save myself and my guests from trouble in the case of any guest refusing to follow house rules, significant violation of house rules may result in immediate termination of the reservation, forfeiture of the total cost of reservation, and/or a $20 fee per incident.
-When checking out, leave bedroom door open, go out front door and lock the door, then place the keys in the key box (with Label Room 1) and scramble the key code.
-The secret word is pineapple.
-Please observe our check in and check out time as we sometimes have guests checking in and out back to back in the same day.
If you need additional time (dropping your luggage earlier or or store your luggage), please let us know in advance, we will try our best to accommodate if we can. Note that we can't fully secure your luggage stored in our house before check in and after check out time since there may be overlap between guests.
-Arbitration. All claims and disputes for total amounts greater than $5000, with the exception of Unlawful Detainer actions, arising under or relating to this Agreement are to be settled by Binding Arbitration in the state of Washington. An award of arbitration may be confirmed in a court of competent jurisdiction.
***Please COMPLETE YOUR OFFLINE ID VERIFICATION through Airbnb prior to your arrival. This gives us some peace of mind opening up our home. It would be helpful to set it up anyway as most of the host look for verified guests. Also, after your stay with us, we will make sure we write a review for you and that will help with future booking.

Hi, We live in the great pacific NW-Seattle! We love traveling and making friends. My favorite traveling memory so far is going to Chichen Itza with my hubby and my parents to see the Mayan pyramid. Me and my hubby also saw a fireball meteor when we were in Cancun!
Our recent experience of aurora borealis in Alaska was purely magically! The northern light was so fluid, vivid and lively.
We came back from Japan not too long ago and miss the food there.
I love coffee and I love Starbucks! My favorite is Casi Cielo on a clover.
