Hi, we are a small family of three persons Caroline, Pär and little Arvid. This flat has been our home now for some for years, or one and a half in the case of Arvid. We like it here, it´s a light, open flat with a spacious kitchen and a balcony that might be in the sun for breakfasts that last until noon. There is a living room as well, so there is space enough to relax and not be forced out on endless walks of discovering Gothenburg.
As you see we live in Majorna – absurdly charming in a worn, hipsteresque way with a laid back beat and full of cafés and what have you. Tram goes into the city centre in 20 min as well as the other direction out to the see and the islands in. Close at hand is Slottsskogen, a park big enough to be lively without being crowded.
Here are some tips for your stay.
If you decide to stay here we´d make a case for you getting your breakfast bread at the bakery at Koopmansgatan – really good! If you are picky with your eating, get your grocery´s in the eco-store down at Allmäna Vägen.
Also you shouldn’t miss hanging out at Mariaplan, with free open air concerts at Thursday evenings 18.00.
Beer is good at café Oceanen at Stigbergstorget, although we can´t say the same about the food. Your´e better off at the tapas place round the corner for eating.
Also mandatory is an evening stroll down townwards covering 2:a Långgatan, 3:e Långgatan, Linnégatan and down to Magasinsgatan.
Ok, this is about it as an introduction to or flat and neighbourhood, hope you enjoy!
Pär and Caroline
