The living room has a couch that can be converted to a bed, tv with cable, and speakers if you'd like to chill out and listen to music. The kitchen is available for your use with everything you'd need. The bedroom is on the second floor, with a queen size bed. There is an air conditioner in the room (window unit) right by the bed. There is one bathroom on the second floor with a shower. If needed there is a second room on the third floor with a full mattress (no frame, but still comfy). There is a air conditioner in the third floor room as well.

Towels and fresh bedding provided.

There is a private cozy backyard you can enjoy during the day or the night, with string lights hanging above you and chairs and tables to hang out around.

I have a dog who lives at the house but will not be there during your stay. If you're allergic to dogs this may not be the place for you.

My house is an older row home. This means it looks a lot cooler then you're typical condo but it's old! So there might be the occasional dust on the wood beams or higher up where I can't reach. I clean thoroughly where you will be and do my best to make sure everything is neat for your stay! In addition it is not the best insulated. The house stays warm in the winter and cold in the summer but it is a bit noisy because it's right in the middle of everything in a city! Most people don't have a problem with this but if you're a light sleeper please consider this.

This is my home! Not a hotel. Please keep that in mind when booking.

This is a nice, charmingly decorated and hip little place. Felt very comfortable staying here and wish we could have hung out for longer (wedding to attend). The exterior on the street is maybe a little run-down but this is in complete contast to the interior and we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the front door!

One of my best friends and I needed a place to stay in Fishtown for our best friend's engagement party. Alistair's place fit all the logistics and aesthetic of what we were looking for in a rented space. From the very beginning Alistair was responsive and accommodating during the whole check-in/stay/check-out process. Initially I was not exactly sure where her place was located so I messaged her to spark a (booking) conversation. Alistair replied in less than 24 hours and pre-approved me to book the place. As soon as I landed in Philly, Alistair was mindful and considerate by letting me check-in before 3PM. I got to her place by 11:30AM, checked-in, left my bags and started my first day in Philly-Fishtown. Her place is immaculate, appropriately styled (decor is LA-bohemian), and conveniently located to most of the Fishtown hang-outs. The home is steps away from notable places like Soup Kitchen, Pizza Brain, and blocks from the trendy bustle of the Fishtown neighborhood. The layout and build of the home is a "row house", so be prepared to hike up a couple of steep staircases. The house is also equipped with great "feel at home" amenities like, washer/dryer; dishwasher; solid wifi; Apple TV; Netflix and Hulu subscriptions. First-time Fish-townies should note the area is home to the reputable La Colombe coffee + roasters -it's known in the coffee world as the science lab of coffee. Make it a point to grab a cup there, or at the local coffeeshop: ReAnimator Coffee. Another must-visit is Johnny Brenda's which is the "it" music and bar venue in Philly. Many great acts come through this venue and is totally worth experiencing. Additional home stay notes: Over the course of our stay, much to our surprise the "engagement party" we originally planned on attending turned to be the actual wedding of our best friend. We scrambled to Alistair's and got ready hours before the ceremony. My other best friend needed to press his clothes so I contacted Alistair via text. Within minutes she replied and offered her garment steamer to use, and we were out the door within an hour of suiting up. Overall, Alistair's place was an ideal place to stay, fulfilling all our needs in location, conveniency, and style. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants the full Fishtown experience.

Alistair's home is a gem. The beautiful pictures do it perfect justice. She was wonderful to work with. The neighborhood is awesome. When I come back to Philly I'm going to stay here again. Not a complaint, just a warning: The stairs to the bedrooms are steep. If you've got bad knees this place would not be good for you.

The place is incredible clean and beautifully decorated. There is a backyard with a table and lights, perfect for an evening diner and hanging out. It is not in the city center but far either, only a 15min uber ride away. We really enjoyed our stay, Alistair had written down recommendations for us too.

Great place! Really unique and walkable with a bohemian vibe. Street noise was moderate so I would suggest earplugs for light sleepers. Would definitely stay again :)

Alistair's rowhome was the perfect home away from home for my fiancé and I while we were in town for our wedding shower. We wanted to stay somewhere like our neighborhood in Los Feliz, LA with lots of walkable shops/restaurants/bars and Fishtown is where its AT! The place is so much cooler than can be expressed in photos. The details of the home are exquisite. Dried flowers, cement planters, postcards from near and far, old books and ephemera that foster a sense of nostalgia. The lay out is also incredibly unique and novel (speaking as a west coaster). The property is narrow with three stories and a bedroom on the third floor that isn't photographed on the listing. There are two old skinny staircases that lead to each floor- so for older folks or anyone with trouble getting around this listing might not be the one for you- but I found them impossibly charming, like something out of a storybook. Our stay was unseasonably chilly- so we were cold a few nights but I never reached out about additional bedding or heating and probably should have. Also, Alistair lives in this listing with her dog normally and relocates for your stay- so for anyone with pet allergies this is something to be cognizant of. The place didn't have any trace of pet hair and everything was very clean- but I still was sneezy! All-in-all, I didn't care. I had my Flonase. Alistair was the most gracious and accommodating host. Our flight arrived very late the night of our stay and she arranged a key exchange that worked for everyone and even offered to let us check out late. I would absolutely stay here again. My fiancé and I loved our stay so much we are even considering buying in the up and coming area!
