Located in the heart of beautiful Balboa Island this charming beach cottage ROOM is a two-minute stroll to the bay and a three minute ferry ride to the ocean. I am about 15 minutes from John Wayne Airport and about the same to get to the 405 freeway. There is usually parking on the street which is narrow by most peoples standards but still doable. If you can't find parking on the street, I have an extra space behind my garage. All parking on the Island is free. Sorry, NO CHILDREN, NO PETS. Light breakfast of fruit bowl provided. Coffee or tea. NO COOKING privileges.
Balboa Island is an idyllic place pulled straight out of a travel magazine. Walk to the beach, have dinner by the bay, go fishing, rent a kayak or Bike or a electric duffy boat, take a stroll along the boardwalk, 2 1/2 miles completely around the island makes for a fabulous walk morning or evening. Check out the Island homes and lovely gardens. Go surfing, enjoy the restaurant at the end of the pier, play games at the "fun-zone," or take a ferris wheel ride to see the view or just sit out on the patio with a drink and enjoy the sunshine or sunset.
It's a beautiful, peaceful little spot of paradise with access to all of the fun of Southern California.
You'll be staying in my guest room on the first floor. It has a new, queen-size bed. You'll have your own private bathroom connected directly to the room access to living room and patio. The house has Wi-Fi. No TV in the room but one in family room. No cable though but local channels and PBS.
I take pride in my home, keeping it immaculate, and I ask that you please be respectful as you would of your own mother's home (or maybe, more appropriately, of someone else's mother's home).
I am about 15 minutes from John Wayne airport. Our Main Street called MARINE is about 10 blocks from my home and an easy 7-10 minute walk along the Bayfront. The Balboa Island ferry is one street over…
There is parking on the street. Street sweeping on opposite days of Wednesday and Thursday. If no parking isn’t found I have a spot behind my garage.
