The location is slightly far from the famous place and is quite inconvenient. Others everything is fine.

Overall it was an okay stay for us. At first we couldn't find the exact location as the direction given in Airbnb didn't brought us correctly to the location but at last the host manage to guide through us by phone and we didn't met the host during the stay. The property itself w…

Hi Tracia Thanks for your feedback. I believe from speaking to you the issues you had with finding the place had to do with your use of Waze. As we mentioned in our guide to finding your way to Terang Bulan, the best method is to use (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps. Re: the dead mouse, as explained, it was a rice mouse - a creature that typically lives in the surrounding paddy fields. Unfortunately, due to the environment surrounding Terang Bulan, creatures like this come with the territory, and while we do our best to check that the premise is clean proior to your checking in, we cannot avoid should these creatures appear while you are occupying the villa. At the time you mentioned the mouse, we explained clearly to you that our maintenance team can only go to the villa to remove it from your outdoor courtyard the following day, as you had notified us in the evening, and our team had already gone home. Note that this also occurred during a public holiday period, where most places like ours were already operating on a reduced staff count. Re: spider webs and bugs, as we have explained to other guests before - they are unavoidable. While we do our best to ensure that the premise is clean before you enter, these wee creatures are all around, and do not take long to re-appear as soon as we exit the property. Living in the villages as we do ourselves, we have come to accept that the only way to keep things clean is for one to do daily upkeep, which is why we also provide you with basic cleaning tools in the closet for you to do so. Most of our longer-term guests understand this, and do take the initiative to do so, making their stays more comfortable. Re: the auto gate - once again, due to the environment it is not feasible. We did have one prior to this but it kept breaking down, due to the width of our driveway entrance and also the weather factor. I am aware that most city folks perhaps may not fully comprehend the small challenges the environment and weather can pose when living in the countryside. Hopefully this has given you a glimpse as to what country living is really like :-) There is a small price to pay in compromising one's urban standards of living in hermetically sealed environments for the beauty and tranquility of living closer to nature :-)

We loved staying at Terang Bulan - it's an ideal spot for a relaxing weekend. Just be sure to stock up on essentials such as water, ice and light food on your way over. Their bathroom toiletries smell amazing but aren't for sale, unfortunately, so be sure to take any leftovers wi…
