It is a very cozy and pleasant place to stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and they also offer a kimono dressup at home, which was an amazing experience! The room itself is very small, but you can use the shared spaces which are also very cozy. The location is a bit far from central Tokyo, but it is connected very well with the trains, and the neighbourhood itself offers lots of shops and restaurants but still keeps more of a peaceful atmosphere than the crazy Tokyo.

Amazing place! The room itself is pretty small but we only used it for sleeping so it didn't bother us. Also we could keep our luggage in the living room. There is a clean shared bathroom and kitchen with living room. The house itself is in a very quiet area away from the noisy streets of Tokyo. The only downside was that you have to spend around half an hour every day to get to the centre of the city, which cost us quite a lot of money on metro's. The area itself however is very quiet and is very close to a supermarket thats open 24 hours. When we arrived the hosts came to pick us up at Asaka station, so we didn't have to walk with our heavy luggage while looking for the house. One night there was a lovely dinner with al the guests where we got to try on kimonos. To conclude this is a great budget-friendly room to experience life in and around Tokyo. I would definitely stay here again!

The hosts and room was exactly as described on their profile and in the other references: friendly, hospitable, clean, ... We got picket up and putted back at the station on our first and last day, did a kimono dress up and enjoyed this homely place. Budget tip: The 1-3 day Tokyo Metro pas is not valid for the closest station "Asaki". We walked 30min each morning to the next station "Wakoshi" and we're able to save 1000yen a day.

Loved my stay here. The owners were very sweet and provided soap, towels, wifi, a kitchen, and a clean room. I just needed a place to rest while I explored Tokyo. One small note - The house is listed in Shinjuku, but is actually in a prefecture outside Tokyo. It's a 50 min ish subway ride to Shinjuki and a 20 min walk to the station, but still a great stay, worth the cost and walking time, and Saitama is peaceful and beautiful.

It's a really good place to stay in, though it's a 15-20 minutes walk, it's very peaceful and it helps us take a glimpse of Japanese "daily life"! For us, we just needed a place to sleep and prepare, this is a perfect place! The host were both very nice people, they picked us up from the station and very kindly explain to us how to get around, of course they also sent us back to the station when we are heading back to our own country. The host also kindly let us try on her kimonos which was such a lovely experience! If I have the chance, I'll definitely come back:)
