Our tiny house is a ten-minute walk from downtown Missoula, a ten-minute bike ride to the University of Montana and is nestled in Missoula's eclectic Northside neighorhood. Open, bright and roomy, it's perfect for your stay in Missoula.

Le logement
A few years ago, we built a tiny house in Missoula, Montana. We call it 282 because the space is 282 square feet of bright, clean, open space. Our family of four lived in 282 for two years and we found tiny living quite comfortable. We have since moved but want to share our tiny living experience with others who are visiting our lovely mountain town.

Recently updated, 282 offers one queen-sized bed and one fold-out, full-sized bed perfect for children. The space can accommodate four people (two adults and two children, for example) or two adults comfortably. 282 is a studio with a full kitchen (stove, fridge, sink, etc.) and one bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. If you’re a leisurely showerer, just know that our water tank accommodates one 20 minute shower or several shorter ones- that’s tiny living for you! It is completely stocked with dishes, pots, pans, a french press and towels. It has a kitchen table and french doors that open onto a small patio. There is WiFi, and a flat screen Roku TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and PBS, though no cable. The house is separated from the main residence by a privacy fence and has its own entrance. Our backyard has garden beds, and is available for your use. Children can enjoy our monkey bars, swings and small climbing wall.

Accès des voyageurs
282 has a small shaded patio with a cafe table and chairs. If you have children traveling with you, we have a climbing wall they are welcome to use. Your dogs are welcome in the yard if you don't mind helping clean up after them!

COVID-19 UPDATE

What a crazy few months here in the pandemic! We wanted to let you know we are adjusting to the some-times daily changes that have come with hosting during the time of COVID-19. We’re adapting and learning every day and doing everything we can to keep our guests and our family safe.

We’ve committed to strict cleaning guidelines set forth by Airbnb. We’ve displayed the checklist Airbnb created to let you know the cleaning measures we are adhering to during this time. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Montana began reopening in May with the first phase of guidelines created by the governor. On June 1, we entered phase two of his reopening plan. Some high-lights from the phase two guidelines include:
• Restaurants and bars are open to 75% capacity
• Retail stores may choose to open but will likely limit the number of people in the store at the same time. Some require appointments to en-ter.
• Social distancing recommended (six feet apart)
• Many establishments will require face masks to enter and may also ask you to use hand sanitizer upon entering.

Thank you for staying with us and let us know if we can be helpful to you in any way.

Missoula, Montana, États-Unis

282 is a ten-minute walk to downtown Missoula, a ten-minute bike ride (20-minute walk) to the University of Montana and is nestled in Missoula's eclectic Northside neighborhood. The Northside is a short bike ride to Greenough Park, the Rattlesnake trailhead and the Clark Fork River. Full of artists, writers and filmmakers, the Northside is on the register of national historic places and was once home to German, Italian and Asian immigrants. For many years it was the working-class heart of Missoula where residents worked in either the local saw mill or for the railroads. Today, the Northside is full of young families, hip millennials and longtime residents. Over the past ten years, the neighborhood has grown with new, modern-looking houses popping up all over creating a mix of historic homes and newly built ones tucked into tree-lined streets. In keeping with its working class roots and the rise of company towns in the early part of the last century, houses on the Northside are built close together, which makes being a good neighbor an important characteristic of any Northsider. We love our neighborhood and we hope you will too!

My husband and I moved to Missoula 17 years ago for a one-year job in a van packed with books. We never left. We've lived on a farm surrounded by fallen down fences where we had our two daughters. We've lived in the heart of Missoula in a tiny house with our daughters, two dogs and a wayward bunny. After ten years of farm life and two amazing years of living tiny, we want to share both of these spaces with travelers like you. We love our town, our community and our homes. We hope you will too.
