Being the only "white girl" in town, I really enjoy meeting travelers and having a good chat and get news and ideas from all over the world and also share my knowledge about Sri Lanka and its culture. Therefore I regard the guesthouse more as my hobby and chance to meet travelers rather than a business. So I am very happy to spend some time with our guests chatting in our garden. But of course it's not compulsory ;)
We have many pets here: Currently 5 cats, 2 rabbits and 1 dog. They are all tame and looking forward to meeting our guests. If you have any allergy, please check with us upfront.
Pets are allowed and very welcome.
Smoking is allowed outside in the garden.

Hello dear travelers,
I am a German girl and a backpacker by heart. It all started back in 2009, when I started my first big trip to Australia, where I spent 14 months backpacking. In the past 5 years ever since that, I have traveled nearly all countries in Southeast Asia and every now and then I get itchy feet again and plan my next trip.
During all my travels I happened to come across Sri Lanka and fall in love here. As I was free to settle anywhere (as I backpacker I gave up and quit everything in Germany before) and decided to stay in this beautiful country together with my now-husband Asela. Right back then in 2011 it was our dream to open up a cheap but amazing guesthouse, where everyone would just fall in love with the atmosphere. And the Oasis is very precious to us, as it was right here where we met for the first time, as this was the guesthouse I stayed back then.
Due to my love for traveling and staying in so many different hostels, guesthouses and hotels in many countries, I knew pretty well what a good accommodation needs to have in order to meet travelers needs. And also what gets them really exited about a place. So I try my best and step by step improve the Oasis Tourist Welfare Center with little things that make a travelers heart beat faster ;-)
Being an outgoing person, loving to talk to and spoil people and having worked in different hospitality jobs in Australia, I now try my very best to keep all our guests fully happy in our Oasis Guesthouse, just according to my life motto "You only life once, so enjoy life to the fullest".
So I hope to welcome you to our lovely jewel, the old but cosy Oasis Tourist Welfare Center.
